I don’t think [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] is suitable as a given name for a human. I think it could work as a fun nickname for Benjamin/Benjamina or as a name for a pet.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite name starting with B is [name_m]Berend[/name_m] and my favorite ending in O is [name_m]Elio[/name_m].

I love [name_u]Banjo[/name_u]. I actually know of a few, including a gorgeous little boy on Instagram called [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] (son of Instagram influencer @eleanorpendleton).

I wonder whether it’s one of those names that seems too out there to non-Australians (which might explain some of the comments above) but less so to Australians. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still uncommon and quirky here but I think that because [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] [name_m]Patterson[/name_m] (Australian poet) is such a quintessentially Australian literary icon it seems usable on a little boy (on that note, I don’t like it on a girl).

Nickname-wise, Banji(e) is ok but I don’t really think a nickname is necessary. If anything I think I’d prefer Banj.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite B name for a boy is [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] and for a girl, it’s [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I love [name_u]Billie[/name_u] too though, and [name_f]Brontë[/name_f].

I think [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] works! I’m not sure I would use, but think it is super cute. To me, it seems more boy and maybe nickname-ish.

[name_f]My[/name_f] son loves the cartoon Bluey and her little sister [name_m]Bingo[/name_m] goes to school with a [name_u]Banjo[/name_u], but they are dogs!

[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] B- starts, [name_m]Branson[/name_m], [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u], [name_u]Barrett[/name_u], [name_u]Briar[/name_u]

[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] -o endings, [name_u]Milo[/name_u], [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]

And combo, I agree. I really like [name_u]Bo[/name_u] for either gender.

I really can’t see it on a real person. I agree with others that it would work much better on a pet.

I can’t see [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] as anything but a fun nickname or the kind of name someone chooses as a cool artist name, but I do think it could be cute for a [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite B names are [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], and probably [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] for a boy (but I think of [name_m]Arnold[/name_m], gahhh!)
