Barbie

[name_f]Do[/name_f] we think [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] names (Barbie, [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] / Ken) are gonna have a bump after the movie this year?

I can see [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] fitting with some trendy names, but is it still too [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] to stand on its own?

[name_f]Barbie[/name_f] is so heavily tied to the doll that I don’t think so. [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] is getting close to the 100 year mark. [name_m]Ken[/name_m] might still be seen as “too boomer”.

I think [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] will see a comeback of sorts. A celebrity named their daughter this, so I think it would hold good to say that. I don’t think [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] will. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if it does I doubt it will be due to the movie.

[name_m]Ken[/name_m] has a similar sound to the popular Wren/Ren so I think it can have a mild bump in popularity.

I think [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] is too associated with the doll, and [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and Ken(neth) are maybe too dated to make a comeback yet.
It will be interesting to see if the film has any effect on the names’ popularity though!

bringing this back bc apparently the [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] Bump is real!

i don’t know if i really see “Barbie” as a name coming back. But I can picture some outdated [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] names like “Barbara” or “Ruth” getting a boost to vintage status

I think if you don’t mind the doll association, [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] is cute. I don’t like [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] though.

It’s too tied to the dolls for me but people have been out there naming their kids [name_f]Khaleesi[/name_f] so I don’t see why not
