Thoughts on the name [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] (no nickname)?

I like [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m]. It’s an underused and underappreciated Biblical name. It may be hard to avoid nicknames for such a long name but I wish you luck. I love [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_m]Jake[/name_m] . [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_m]Shepard[/name_m] would be my distant second choice.
I like [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], but to me I can hardly see a little guy saying or trying to spell it out. Since it so long I think that eventually a nickname will surface. If you do not like [name_m]Bart[/name_m] there are other options. [name_m]Art[/name_m]/[name_m]Artie[/name_m], Bash, B, [name_u]Ollie[/name_u], and [name_u]Barry[/name_u]. Some are a slight stretch, but work.

I love [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], though I agree it would be rather difficult to avoid nicknames. If you’re not a fan of [name_m]Bart[/name_m], there is always Tolly?

I do agree that it is a long name for a little boy to have to write, again and again on school papers, along with his surname. Good friends of mine have a very long surname and named their oldest a rather long first name. I remember she had difficulties at first. She couldn’t even get her name on one line when she was first learning to write. Once she was writing well it was less of an issue though. All three of their children go by their full name, no nicknames.

[name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] is a great name! However, I do think it’s a bit too long to not have a nickname. A little boy might find it difficult to write and to pronounce. I like [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_m]Jake[/name_m] the most from your list
