Definitely prefer [name_u]Basil[/name_u]! [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is old school and overused in my opinion. [name_u]Basil[/name_u] sounds fresh (pun not intended) and modern without being too out there.
I like [name_u]Basil[/name_u] more!
It’s old fashioned and fresh at the same time, which is the recipe for a timeless name and perfectly fits in with current naming trends. Of the combos you’ve made, I think [name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favourite, but all three are lovely. [name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_u]Adair[/name_u] would also be nice.
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] & [name_u]Basil[/name_u] are both beautiful (but in a boyish way!) names. I think that [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is way easier. [name_u]Basil[/name_u] has two pronunciations, so that could get tricky. I prefer ‘Ba-zulh’, but I live in the U.S. where most people would say ‘Bay-zuhl’. The downside to [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is that it’s super popular. For a good reason, but if that’s something that would bug you I’d stay away from it. From your mn ideas I love [name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] & [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Asa[/name_u].
[name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] is by far my favorite of your combos! I love the unique first name paired with a strong timeless classic middle.
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Asa[/name_u] I will also suggest [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Archer[/name_u]! [name_u]Basil[/name_u] unfortunately makes me think of the kids movie, “Basil the Great Mouse Detective”
