Beatrice, Beatriz, or Beatrix?

I think [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] is stunning I definitely would choose it over [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

[name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] is romantic and would be unique in a sea of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]s. I think the z on the end of [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] really adds a special flair and that in combination with the pronunciation bay-a-trisz (which I have heard from Spanish speakers) would garner many compliments. Not to mention the most important reason, I think you should go with [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f], which is because it would honor your SO’s heritage. I’m a big believer in choosing names that honor a person’s heritage and think that this helps build an idea of how one is related to one’s heritage in a child.

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is okay. Of the three combinations, I think it’s more expected and lacks some of the playfulness of the other two names. Overall, I don’t mind [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and would prefer it after [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f].

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is my least favorite. I don’t like it at all. It immediately makes me think of two things: 1) [name_f]Bea[/name_f]-tricks (as in, [name_f]Bea[/name_f] tricks people, especially if you will use the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]) and 2) [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] Lestrange. I honestly think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] ruins the fluidity of [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], sorry. I don’t think of it as spunky, I associate it with being mean-spirited. I’ve never met a [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] so I’m sure someone could change my mind, but I don’t like this name.
