[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] has a nice kick to it. I also like [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f].

Oh never heard of [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] that’s pretty cool  Is it still the same meaning just different pronunciation of the x to a z?

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are all from Latin Viatrix, so they all have the same meaning. There’s also Russian [name_f]Beatrisa[/name_f].

I like them all-- but the X in [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] gives it that extra something! There’s also [name_f]Beata[/name_f] too.

I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], I find [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] a bit more severe than [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but I don’t dislike it.

I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

I’ve never like the X, but I knew two girls named [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] growing up. I like [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] as much as [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

It’s more of a bey-ah-TRREEZ in Spanish!

I like both but prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. My only problem with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is the nickname [name_f]Trixie[/name_f].

That’s funny. I voted for [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] because I love the nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f].

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is on our list… I think I actually personally prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but my SO doesn’t like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] but loves [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], so I conceded because I like both nearly equally. I voted for [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] looks better when written down in my opinion, and the x is a snazzy letter that gives the name some extra zing.

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]! The X factor is awesome!

Thanks for the replies. I don’t mind the nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] but I think we would probably use the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]
My DH doesn’t care for [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] that much and prefers [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] I actually like both, but I do like the X on the end to give it a fresher vibe. We also both loved the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] books when we were younger, so there’s a good association for us. Personally I am just pleased he actually likes one name on my list
