Beckham or Beckem?

My husband and I are expecting our second son. We love the name [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] but I prefer spelling it Beckem so there is less association with [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] or [name_u]Odell[/name_u] [name_m]Beckham[/name_m]. Is that too weird? Let me know! Thanks

I think Beckem is a little odd. I prefer the [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] spelling because it’s the most instinctive for me. I don’t think the [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] association is all that avoidable with this one, because I imagine the name took off as a first name because of him.

I much prefer the [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] spelling.

Beckem just doesn’t look right, imo. I’d go with [name_m]Beckham[/name_m].

Beckem looks unfinished to me. [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] is a lot better.

I think the Beckem could work, but I prefer [name_m]Beckham[/name_m].
