I found this fantastic names website for personal name lists:

Behind the Name - www.behindthename.com.

It’s similar to babynames.com, but you can have several lists at one address, do so much more with your list and visitors to your list can not only vote for, but rate how much they like each name out of 10 using 5stars. You can leave a comment next to each name on your list, eg. if it’s a favourite, what middle name you might put with it, etc. You can rearrange the order you view it whenever someone votes from alphabetical to view highest to lowest rating or by gender.
You can also comment on and rate individual names on the website by voting whether you think they are, for eg. more feminine/masculine, wholesome/devious, mature/youthful, urban/natural etc. and see how the name rates over all. I think this is useful to parents choosing a name to see how other people view their choices - [name]Jayden[/name] or [name]Madison[/name] anyone?(^^J). The site also has a just4fun random name generator and you can make polls like you can on Nameberry too.
There is lots of interesting and informative information on name etymology too. I can’t list everything, so I’ll just say, go and check it out!

Thanks, hazelet! [name]Marlow[/name] is going to be a middle, I’m pretty sure. I like a lot of yours, but my favorites are [name]Cecily[/name] (of course), [name]Hermione[/name], and [name]Tristan[/name]. [name]Tristan[/name] was our boy pick until an ex-gf of my dh’s picked it for her daughter. Sigh.

Anyway, I voted on all you guys’. Grenth, I love absolutely every one of your boy names, but [name]Gwendolen[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name] are the only girl names that aren’t too frilly for me. [name]Iris[/name], you have nearly every girl name I have ever considered - that’s quite a long list! [name]Favorite[/name] boys are [name]Matthias[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name].

I am a little dissappointed in this site. I love that you can comment on names and change the order around, but they didn’t have four (!) of my favorite names - Caspera, [name]Sylvan[/name], Andrasteia and [name]Selphie[/name] (even though it was made up.) I like that you can rate a name with stars, but I also like the babynames.com option to just pick yes or no. I also love how you can easily find the meaning of each name.

Some beautiful collections! :smiley: Some of you seem a lit shy at the length of your list - well dont forget you can have more than one list at the same address if you want to divide yours up into categories! You just need to make your new list the ‘default’ list while you are adding names. I have FOUR lists - My Favourites, My Worsts (not finished), Family Names and Family Middle Names. I’m sure I’ll add more! I cant wait to get to a computer sometime to vote on all your lists! Doing it via cellphone is a little difficult! Thanks to everyone who has commented so far! Keep voting!
