Bellatrix or Briar

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all, I have been feeling [name_u]Braxton[/name_u] Hicks for the past couple hours, so hub and I need to get the name ready, as my due date is in a week and a half, but based on yesterday, she’ll probably come earlier. It’s 3 in the AM right now, and I can’t sleep. We already have 3 kids, [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexia[/name_f] [name_f]Hildegarde[/name_f]. Her MN is going to be [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], after her grandmother, but we can’t decide on a first name. Surname is 2 syllables and starts with a Br. Please vote or comment a new suggestion, although I may be too preoccupied to add another name. Also please disregard the previous post, we eliminated [name_f]Scarlette[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] as options. Thank you, xx

I would go for [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] as [name_u]Blair[/name_u] Br___ might be a bit too clunky for me. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I much prefer [name_u]Blair[/name_u] in general.

Also this is a very dumb association but there’s a [name_u]Blair[/name_u] Waldorf on Gossip Girl and the name [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] reminds me of the hotel Waldorf [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] which brings me back to [name_u]Blair[/name_u] Waldorf. Dumb and irrelevant though but thought I’d share.

Is it [name_u]Blair[/name_u] or [name_u]Briar[/name_u]? In the other post you said [name_u]Briar[/name_u] so just making sure. Either way prefer these names to [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] though.

Edit: just saw and fixed my vote [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is pretty too though lol

Its [name_u]Briar[/name_u], so sorry for the confusion. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister was watching Gossip Girl and was talking about [name_u]Blair[/name_u] so I got confused.

Briar Br__ is a bit too clunky for me still but then again I’m not too keen on [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and how [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] it feels. I am actually not able to decide. I’m sorry

Can I say I absolutely LOVE [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]. Would you consider that as a first name? It’s just so pretty!!!

I think [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]. Although I find [name_u]Blair[/name_u] a little lackluster - just my personal opinion. And I find [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] the opposite- like a lot of name! Yet its pretty and I haven’t heard it so much. I like it better than [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].

I say follow your heart at this point!! [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is stunning

What would you suggest? Would [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] sound better?

Evangeline [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] sounds absolutely beautiful to me!

Briar [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is lovely too I can’t deny that. But she would usually go by [name_u]Briar[/name_u] Br- so I think it’s too much of the B and R sounds together.

Personally I would go with [name_u]Briar[/name_u]! [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is wonderful but I get a [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] like vibe from [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]! [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is actually on my list so I’m glad I see more people use it!

Thats a good point. I love the name [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] but for some reason it’s not sticking with me.

I prefer [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]. I just don’t like [name_u]Briar[/name_u]. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is something else that I thought of?

I much prefer [name_u]Briar[/name_u], but I think [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] goes a lot better with your other kiddos.

I think [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] is quite a interesting name, but both [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] were [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] characters, so [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] would looks like you’re a Slytherin fan.

On the other hand, [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is also very pretty, and [name_u]Briar[/name_u] sounds really good with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexia[/name_f]
