Could you picture a pretty little girl named [name]Bernice[/name] or maybe as a middle name? That was my late grandma’s name and she was the most beautiful person in the world to me:-)
I think it’s really cute and would be a great first name. I like [name]Anna[/name] more as a fn in general- but I like the flow of [name]Anabel[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] much better. I have always liked the name [name]Bernadette[/name], but I know most people here hate all -ette names cause they’re so unstylish in [name]France[/name] or whatever- but to me [name]Bernadette[/name] sounds kind of strong/cool. [name]Birdie[/name] would be an easy nickname (but it’s a little cutesy for my tastes. I prefer [name]Bette[/name])
I really like it as a first name.
The only variations I can think of are based on meaning. [name]Eunice[/name], [name]Nicole[/name] (et al), [name]Colette[/name], [name]Veronica[/name]/[name]Victoria[/name], [name]Nikita[/name]. Not crazy about any of these personally except maybe [name]Eunice[/name]. Or, because of my personal name style, I’d go with the straight forward [name]Victory[/name] rather than it’s derivatives except for the fact it seems more masculine to me without that “a” at the end.
Depending on how many syllables your last name has I like the flow of [name]Anna[/name] [name]Bernice[/name]. 2-2 is very pleasant to me.
I think it works well as a middle! I especially love that it means something to you. I would go with [name]Anna[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] though because I feel [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] is a little heavy on the “B” sound.
I love the sweet and vintage [name]Bernice[/name] and it’s a lovely way to honour someone who meant so much to you. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] is very pretty.
[name]Bernice[/name] is beautiful- it’s also my Grandm’as middle name. I think it would be a wonderful way to honor her. I like [name]Anabel[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] more the [name]Anna[/name] [name]Bernice[/name], but I think [name]Bernice[/name] could maybe carry over as a first name.
I’d skip [name]Anna[/name]/bel and just use [name]Bernice[/name] front and center! It’s that clunky feminine cool that I’m gaga for. I really hope you use it as a first name and using it to honor a grandmother is the sweetest thing. If I met a [name]Bernice[/name] I’d immediately assume she was spunky and really smart. [name]Birdie[/name] and [name]Bernie[/name] are so so cute too!
