[name_f]My[/name_f] very most, tippity-top girls’ name is none other than miss [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and her springy vibes. You, my friends, are the jury and we’ve got room for three on trial. Below are the contenders for Miss Lulu’s sisters, all randomized and mixed about. stay tuned for the next ruling, where [name_u]Daniel[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] finds himself on trial some time tomorrow! ‘til then!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is lovely. Feels like a very ‘Louisa May’ nod, too, which I think is quite special. :love_letter:

With her, I love…

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] - Two beautiful classics. A nickname gold mine I’d say, too. [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]? Adorable. [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]? So sweet. [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_f]Annie[/name_f]? [name_u]Amazing[/name_u]. So good any way you slice it! (Also… sweet [name_f]Beth[/name_f] and her dolly’s name!) These are heavenly together—and not just for that reason. I love love this!!

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] - I think these are complimentary and whimsical. Neither in her own is my top fave, but together and in this set… they’re really perfect! So snowy, white, and very pleasantly Christmassy. Like a bird on a cold morning.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] - So, so, so classic and cool! [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is an absolute gem, and I think [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is fabulous with her! Another sweet, Alcottian-heroine pair (little [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] is so grand). I think there’s a grounded sensibility about this one, as well.

Honorable Mentions

You’ve got so many goodies in here though, so, if I’m not thinking so much about cohesion, I adore
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Albertine[/name_f] !!
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] !

I love these four. They would make a brilliant [name_u]March[/name_u] Family of girls themselves!

With [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], it’s got to be:

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - this feels literary, light, cheerful and sweet, with kick and spark too! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] make such a charming and lovely set; both have a vintage sweetness about them! And, like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] could work as a double name, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] Jay/Daisy J, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_u]Jet[/name_u] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Etta[/name_f] could all be sweet double options

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] - [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] just feel perfect together; classic, classy and timeless! I adore [name_u]Winter[/name_u] with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - it adds distinction and sharpness and spark. Again, like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] could be [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] [name_u]Winn[/name_u] or [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_u]Winn[/name_u]

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] - so maybe it’s because L is my cousin’s name and R is her sister but they just work perfectly okay? It’s sweet, bubbly and charming, zippy and lovely!! [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Mars[/name_u], BeeBee, [name_u]Rue[/name_u], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Rue[/name_u] would be sweet!

Fleura [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - I think Fleura pairs so nicely with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it’s unexpected but they feel like a very nice match. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] & [name_f]Mae[/name_f] have the same vibe to me, so I think they also fit. You’re really making me like Fleura!

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] make great sisters . I like how they are both four letters. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is lovely too - how are you pronouncing it?

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] - I wanted to go with [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], but I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are bit too matchy. Plus, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are both lovely timeless names and I think fit your style very well! [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is super cool and brings something really nice to the combo

I am loving these questions!!

I would name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Mae’s sisters…

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] ~ I love the name [name_f]Rose[/name_f] she’s been a favourite of mine for a long time! [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is so romantic, elegant and has gorgeous floral connotations. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is a beautiful middle name for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] so classic. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] are perfection.

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is very sweet, feminine and has a melodic sound. I love the meaning ‘fairy maiden’ and I think she’s perfection paired with [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]. Such an overall beautiful name.

[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Cora[/name_f] has this lovely spunky vintage sound she feels peaceful, has pretty cottagecore imagery and I think matches this sibling set so well. I love that they are all four letters, ooze femininity and have pretty imagery. [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f] has never been on my radar but is so fun.

i imagine lucy mae as a lovely older sister to…

  1. ella lavander: lucy and ella? how adorable! i also love how lavander and mae are a bit different in style, but, to me, both bring to mind wonderful vintage colors and green fields

  2. madeline luna: light and moon as a delicate celestial theme makes me fall in love with this sibset! both names have a gentle, soothing sound

  3. evelyn clare: i haven’t seen anybody put these two together so here i am, these two together bring to mind the loveliest sisters, bookworms with a bit of spunk to them💫

[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f] were meant to be sisters!
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] - this name brings a sturdiness to the others that binds the cutesy and trendy with timeless and classic
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] - this combo is stunning and feels cohesive and completes the other sisters

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]

I want to sub out one of the middle names (of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] & Rose) for [name_f]Frances[/name_f] to better tie in [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (probably [name_f]Ella[/name_f] Frances) - but otherwise see this as a gorgeous, evenly balanced set that is both wearable and whimsical. [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] waiting in wings to sub in for [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] should it please you, Your [name_f]Honour[/name_f].

As a sister for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], I would choose:

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] — [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has the exact same classic, timeless, vintage but modern and on-trend feeling that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] does. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] feels more serious (Not in a bad way) and more understated than [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but still works well with both names being classic in feel.

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] — Matches [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Mae‘s contemporary-yet-classic vibe exquisitely well, with all four names leaning classic and vintage but with an overweighing modern feel.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my favourite sister name for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] works the best with the whole combo imo.

Honourable mention: [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] — Basically the same arguments as above, but also that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] just sound wonderfully well paired (Matchy, but not too much) and share the middle initial.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so darling! [name_f]My[/name_f] three choices are…

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] — Such lovely, classic names and so many possibilities for adorable nicknames if you want to match the short and sweet vibes of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]? [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]? [name_u]Love[/name_u] them all. Also, my own middle name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and my favorite musician is [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] Newsom, so I’m biased, haha.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] — So elegant and sweet, and these are two of my favorite names. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] would make adorable siblings, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and Eve/Evelyn also feels more refined and adult for two young women. This sibling duo rolls off the tongue so beautifully to me.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] — [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] both feel so charming, energetic, and playful to me! I like that, with this name, we have a very zippy and fun first name with a more refined, elegant middle name. So gorgeous, truly.

I think what narrowed it down the most is that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so normal-not that it’s a bad thing, but it doesn’t leave a lot of room outside the box for her sisters’ names.
Verdict: [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is precious and sweet :strawberry:

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] :ribbon: she’s the perfect sister for your [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. A little bit cutesy, a little bit elegance and a whole lot of spunk

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] :snowflake: the unexpected middle [name_u]Winter[/name_u] paired with the more classic [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is perfect. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are definitely mismatched length wise but stylistically they’re perfect, and it adds to the charm

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] :bouquet: such a perfect youngest sister she would make! The two syllable first and one syllable middle is the perfect connection to sweet [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] while still allowing them to feel distinct. It’s meant to be!

Gosh, this is so difficult! As a jury member, my order would be for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] to have all the sisters because they are such beautiful choices. I adore [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Mae; strong but jovial, modern but timeless, melodically beautiful yet easily wearable. I decided that I would pick a general vibe for the sibset, as [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is such a versatile name that could be paired beautifully with a range of names. I’ve decided to go with sisters living in a large cottage out in the country side, who spend their days adventuring in the woodlands around their home finding fairies, talking to woodland creatures and splashing in puddles. Here’s my best shot at narrowing it down to three sisters:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_u]Willow[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]

I just adore how they all sound together.

[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]: I first read this and thought wow! so stunning! This is such a beautiful combo. Then I remembered [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and I knew that [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] was 100% my first choice for a sister. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f]: I can already see the storybook being written about them. I’m not great at describing why I choose sibsets; for me it’s normally just vibes, but will do my best. [name_f]Della[/name_f] to me is sunshine and running through meadows. She is easy to pronounce and spell, making her approachable and easily wearable. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] shares these qualities too, yet I feel [name_f]Della[/name_f] is still unexpected as a sister name. I like the repeating ‘L’ sounds, yet they are both distinct from eachother. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is the perfect combo for [name_f]Della[/name_f], and the literary and timeless choice matches [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] so well!

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_u]Willow[/name_u]: After [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f], I felt it would flow well to use a name that wasn’t two syllables. Seeing [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], I just melted. Such a beautiful, timeless, strong and unexpected choice. [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] reminds me of ballroom dances, fairytail dresses, and travelling the world. [name_u]Willow[/name_u] brings [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] to earth to me, and I love the earthy and naturey vibes [name_u]Willow[/name_u] imbudes in [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]. [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is the perfect little princess sister for a [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. The wellknown and loved Isa-begining (like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and Isabella) links with the wellknown and loved [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Yet choosing [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] over [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] etc. links her with [name_f]Della[/name_f] by being more unexpected. I’m not sure how to properly explain my point lol…But [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] has both the qualities of loved and known, and unexpected and exciting.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]: Another beautiful, timeless and classic choice. I thought I would choose a sister that did not have two syllables again, but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] fits so wonderfully I had no choice! While [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a very popular choice, the combo of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is so stunningly beautiful it’s as if I’ve read [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] for the first time! I adore this combo. Like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is regal, literary and wearable on a variety of personalities. I love that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] share many similar sounds, yet sound distinct in themselves.

It was difficult to let go of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Clare[/name_u], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Oceane[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] and [name_f]Viviana[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

oh my gosh, thank you so much, Sunny! The whole description of just everything you gave was just simply lovely!

I will always love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] together–mainly because they’re mine and my best friend’s names lol. But also, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] sound amazing together. They’re little girls with their hair in pigtails, skipping rope, and splashing in the creek on a summer day. Both so timeless and classic. [name_u]An[/name_u] eternally youthful feel from both.
I also would love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] with:

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]–she also has that sunshine-skipping vibe, but with a hint more elegance! Curls in braids and well-loved rag dolls are the vibes I get from this one!

[name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]–Ahh [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are perfect together. [name_f]Della[/name_f] is buttercup flowers, pink ribbons tied messily into tangled hair, and bees buzzing in early springtime. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] sound like the cutest pair of sisters!

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]–The epitome of a cottagecore name! [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f], maybe, to match [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]? [name_f]Rose[/name_f] seems like she’d be the quietest of these sunshine-skipping sisters, noticing the butterflies floating from flower to flower, and reading storybooks with Marmee! (look at me channeling my inner LW fan right there :joy:)
