I’m currently expecting a new addition to the family-a little girl and although I have loved playing around with names for her my husband and I have had trouble coming up with names we both like. We have recycled a few names that we considered for our three other girls, but nothing really seems to fit. A friend recommended us to this site and I was hoping for some input and maybe some fresh ideas. I’m due at the start of [name]July[/name].
Our little girl will be joining siblings [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Pippa[/name] and [name]Henry[/name].
And her set middle name will be [name]Hazel[/name], a family name.
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] is my favourite, with [name]Imogen[/name] coming in a close second. Have you thought about just using [name]Hazel[/name] up front? [name]Hazel[/name] is such a sweet name. Other ideas:
@indianruby -my husband only wants [name]Hazel[/name] in middle spot (its an old lady name to him) but thank you for the suggestion. We also like [name]Willa[/name] [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Hazel[/name].
@sas87-my husband really likes [name]Amelie[/name]! We had considered [name]Amelia[/name], but [name]Amelie[/name] has a bit more spunk which we like. We also like [name]Freya[/name] and I love, love, love [name]Phoebe[/name] and have for a long time…But, our last name is Thebe.
@sugarfoot-I love [name]Cassia[/name] and it sounds so great with our last name, but it really is a matter of getting hubby totally on board with it. He still has his doubts and wonders if it is too close to [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] works best for me.
[name]Hazel[/name] is exquisite, a favourite of mine, but its a tree and a colour and that makes it play oddly with both [name]Cassia[/name] (a tree) and [name]Ruby[/name] for me. [name]Imogen[/name] doesn’t give the double-barrelled effect.
I do LIKE [name]Cassia[/name], (and the related [name]Kezia[/name]/[name]Keziah[/name]) but not with [name]Hazel[/name].
I love [name]Cassia[/name], but only pronounced [name]CASS[/name]-ee-uh, not [name]CASH[/name]-uh. The latter reminds me of Ke$ha, or however that singer spells her name.
BUT, I think [name]Imogen[/name] fits best with your sibset (which is outstandingly gorgeous), followed by [name]Amelie[/name].
When I read first your post (and I say first because initially I had read it and then left it to browse the other posts without commenting), the name [name]Julitta[/name] came to mind. I have never put [name]Julitta[/name] on any list of mine before… It is a name I know but it’s just never featured strongly.
So as I’m browsing the other posts, the name [name]Julitta[/name] keeps flashing in my mind and I feel compelled to leave it here and let it be. I do not know if it’s your kind of name but I do like the combo [name]Julitta[/name] [name]Hazel[/name].
I am voting for [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]. I have never liked [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Cassia[/name] sounds to much like casio for me to be on board. My recommendations would be
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Verity[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Pheobe[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
For some reason when I read your kids names the name [name]Neala[/name] ([name]Neel[/name]-Uh) [name]Hazel[/name] popped into my mind. Not on your list, but I think it flows well with the other names.
