Best combo with Thomas as a middle name

So [name]Thomas[/name] is my all time favorite name and hubby loves it as well. The big problem is we don’t care for how it sounds with our last name Tys0n. But I find myself sad to think I’ll never get to use it. So I’m thinking to avoid heart-break maybe we need to use it as a middle name. We had been planning on [name]Andrew[/name] for the next boy but I’m not sure the rhythm of [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n works — all 2-syllable names. [name]Even[/name] my hubby pointed that out – he apparently has been paying attention to my baby name talk all these years. So in search of a classic name that’s not 2-syllables I’ve come up with some other possible combos and would love feed back.

[name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n
[name]Zachary[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n
[name]Joshua[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n

I also thought of [name]Luke[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n but [name]BIL[/name] is [name]Luke[/name] so another [name]Luke[/name] Tys0n feels a little odd. Similarly there are two [name]John[/name] Tys0ns in the family already otherwise [name]John[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n or [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n. These aren’t absolutely out of contention but it just makes things more complicated.

Hubby is [name]Nathan[/name]. My other sons are [name]Paul[/name], [name]Mark[/name], and [name]James[/name]. Obviously I prefer Biblical boy names…It’s not a must but they are my favorites. We’d considered [name]Nicholas[/name] the last time around but [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n is way too “s” heavy.

I’d love feedback. Which is the best? Or is [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] just fine? Hubby has survived all these years with a 2 syllable-2 syllable -2 syllable name…

I love [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n! [name]How[/name] handsome. [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is my second favorite. [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Tys0n is okay, but I agree, I’m not a huge fan of the 2-2-2 flow… I don’t think [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] is as bad as [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], though. The 2-2-2-2 flow is what really kills me, haha.

I like [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] and [name]Luke[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are very cute and age well.

This is the order I like them in:

  1. [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
  2. [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
  3. [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]

I like [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]. [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is probably my favorite.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the alliteration with your last name. (I think it sounds great.) [name]How[/name] often will your son be called by his full name? Unless that’s how you name him from day 1, probably very, very rarely. In school he’ll be [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], or [name]Andy[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], or [name]Drew[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], not [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Tyson[/name]. As an adult, he’ll go by whatever nn or the full name [name]Andrew[/name]. Highly doubtful he’ll go by [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] as an everyday name.

The 2/2/2 syllable thing isn’t an issue. You’re using classic names and they flow really, really well. [name]Don[/name]'t over think this. You’ve got some fantastic names on your list.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] Very handsome

Thanks for your responses. Definately helpful. [name]Andrew[/name] has always been one of dh’s favorites and after talking to him he didn’t seem to eager to change it just so we could use [name]Thomas[/name] as a middle name. I think he’s rather attached to the previous combo of [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Damien[/name] that I had come up with. Maybe if we have a 5th boy…he’ll be [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Tyson[/name]
