So, today I was hanging with my friends and (being the name-nerd I am) I realized I love their names! They’re all so pretty. What are your best friend’s names? [name]Do[/name] you think their name fits them? I have so many friends who’s names’ don’t seem like them so i was just wondering, thanks!
My bff’s name is [name]Rachel[/name]. I know its pretty common but I really like the name, it suits her personality to a T, lol. I used to have a few old friends back when I was little with the names [name]Zarina[/name], [name]Nova[/name], [name]Ashley[/name], and [name]Clarissa[/name]. We were a very interesting group!
I love thinking about this kind of thing, too! My best friend’s name is [name]Christina[/name], but all her friends call her [name]Chrissy[/name]. She is extremely hyper and energetic, and I think the name [name]Chrissy[/name] suits her perfectly. She does prefer to be called [name]Christina[/name] by adults, though (we’re still in high school :)), which shows her refined and sophisticated side. LOL, nice topic! What are your best friends’ names?
Throughout my life, I have been close friends with many people named [name]Michelle[/name] (sometimes spelled [name]Michele[/name]). I think it’s a really pretty name. It’s also very versatile so I think it suited them all!
Over the years my best friends have been:
[name]Ashley[/name]- This nam really fit her
[name]Tessa[/name]- Suited her to the T
[name]Nichole[/name]- Very much so
[name]Miriam[/name]- Not a fan of the name, but I think she pulled it off
[name]Meghan[/name]- I can picture other names on her, but I think other names would have fitted her better
[name]Elizabeth[/name]- She’s not an elizabeth at all. I call her anything but this! [name]Lizzy[/name], [name]Liz[/name], Zabby, JD/[name]Bambi[/name] (Scrubs reference nickname)
finally [name]Robert[/name]- All of his close friend’s called him [name]Rob[/name] except me. He’s just plainly a [name]Robert[/name].
My best friend since age 8 is named [name]Lauren[/name], but she goes by [name]Wren[/name], a nickname that suits her perfectly! My sister’s name is also [name]Lauren[/name], and I consider her my other best friend, so I guess there’s just something magnificent about people with that name. The two couldn’t be more different, though. My other closest friends are named [name]David[/name] and [name]Russell[/name]-- a pair of best friends who complete the ‘quartet’ with [name]Wren[/name] and me. We’ve known each other since first grade. Interestingly, [name]David[/name]'s brother is also named [name]Russell[/name], which furthers the symmetry.
There’s also a [name]Brianna[/name] (who does not look like her name at all to me), a [name]John[/name] (the quirkiest and most interesting, charismatic person ever, despite the boring name), a [name]Claire[/name] (her first name is [name]Elizabeth[/name], but she is SUCH a [name]Claire[/name]), a Jeffrey (he does NOT look like a Jeffrey to me, but I’ve liked everyone I’ve met with that name), and a pair of sisters named [name]Wendy[/name] and [name]Jody[/name] who suit their names almost unnervingly well.
I have a multi-generational group of friends. Names included in my age group are [name]Lisa[/name], [name]Effie[/name], and [name]Rachel[/name]. Some older ones are [name]Linda[/name], [name]Susan[/name], and [name]Donna[/name]. I think their names all suit them quite nicely.
My friends near my age (21-30) are [name]Jessie[/name] [name]Lynn[/name], [name]Molly[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (my sister!), [name]Brynn[/name], [name]Hailey[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Megan[/name] [name]Sue[/name]
Friends over 40 are [name]Brigida[/name] [name]Alta[/name] [name]Gracia[/name] (dominican/chinese), [name]Claudia[/name] (nicaraguan), [name]Jennifer[/name], [name]Donna[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Marie[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Amanda[/name] [name]Beth[/name]
Jacquelene [name]Nicole[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Rachael[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Amy[/name] Tran
i like my friends names a lot too! I’ll just name the first names but they have nice mn’s as well.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] “[name]Lizzy[/name]”
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name] “[name]Meg[/name]”
[name]Sophia[/name] “[name]Sophie[/name]”
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Alexandra[/name] “[name]Alex[/name]”
[name]Melissa[/name]
We are freshmen in high school. (My name is [name]Isabel[/name]) Curious on what you think of these as a group!
I have a few best friends:
[name]Andria[/name]
[name]Katherine[/name] “[name]Katie[/name]” (my cousin)
[name]Casey[/name] (girl)
[name]Meghan[/name] “[name]Meg[/name]”
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Kelly[/name]
My best friends:
[name]Fiona[/name]: [name]Love[/name] this name, love her <3 suits her perfectly.
Nora: same as above!
I’m a freshman in high school, here are some of my friends’ names:
[name]Antonia[/name] - my best friend, I personally think her name suits her really well but she hates it. I think mostly because everyone thinks it is [name]Antonio[/name] and some people even call her [name]Antwan[/name] as a joke. She hates all the nicknames too, though, so I just call her A
[name]Madeleine[/name] ([name]Maddy[/name]) - Definitely suits her.
[name]Sofia[/name] ([name]Sofi[/name]) - Really suits her.
[name]Lydia[/name] - Sort of suits her.
I’ve never thought about my friends’ names fitting them before, but now that I do, I think they are all named pretty well. First, my friend [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Ann[/name]. I’ve known [name]Rachel[/name] for a little over a year, and I think her name suits her perfectly. Her initials are actually [name]RAY[/name], so sometimes I call her my [name]RAY[/name] of light. Second, [name]Dana[/name] Chisolm. [name]Dana[/name] is such a [name]Dana[/name], it’s not even funny. Chisolm is her mother’s maiden name, and I think it fits [name]Dana[/name] as well. It’s quirky, like [name]Dana[/name]. Third, [name]Chelsea[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Although [name]Chelsea[/name] is a popular name, I’ve only ever been close to one, and she has shaped my image of the name. It is for that reason that I think she is a [name]Chelsea[/name] through and through. And lastly, [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. Her first name is [name]Mary[/name], and her middle name is [name]Kate[/name], but she goes by [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. She is such a [name]Mary[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
Overall, I think my friends’ parents did a good job naming their daughters!
For a while, my two best friends were named [name]Kelsey[/name] and [name]Kelsy[/name]. The first a boy, the second a girl. I don;t love Kels(e)y as a name but I do think it suited both of them in strange ways. (Boy [name]Kelsey[/name] is now my boyfriend of almost two years which is why he is no longer categorized in the best friend area, despite still being my best friend). Until I had met [name]Kelsy[/name] I had never seen the name spelled that way before but I think even the spelling of her name suits her because she is certainly a [name]Kelsy[/name] not a [name]Kelsey[/name] or a [name]Kelsie[/name]. She’s about 5’2, spunky and sweet with wildly curly hair and she is no one but a [name]Kelsy[/name]. My boyfriend [name]Kelsey[/name], I’m not sure why this name suits him. I just couldn’t imagine his name as anything else. He’s just such a [name]Kelsey[/name], very caring and kind-hearted, always putting others first. It’s funny, but my vision of what makes a man named [name]Kelsey[/name] suit his name, is actually different then what I think would make a woman named [name]Kelsey[/name] suit her name.
Well aside from the ramblings about Kels(e)y’s.
Another close friend of mine is a Kassaundra called [name]Kassy[/name]; I’m a [name]Cassandra[/name] and we are almost nothing alike despite having names that come from the same root-name. I think both of our names suit us spectacularly.
And the final two are my sisters, [name]Samantha[/name] “[name]Sam[/name]”- by most except her family, and [name]Sarah[/name]. [name]Samantha[/name] being 3 years my senior, and [name]Sarah[/name], 9 years my junior (all of the same parents, [name]Sarah[/name] was just a surprise haha). I think [name]Samantha[/name] is not a [name]Sam[/name] or a [name]Samantha[/name], but I definitely think she’s a [name]Sam[/name]-short-for-[name]Samantha[/name]. (if that makes sense). She’s just both names at once. And [name]Sarah[/name] has changed my first image of the name. I think of [name]Sarah[/name]'s as quiet and sweet, but my [name]Sarah[/name] is spunky, opinionated and will belt out a song at the top of her lungs and not care who hears it. Mind you, there isn’t anything I would change her name to either. She’s just my [name]Sarah[/name]. (Also sometimes called [name]Sarah[/name]-[name]Beth[/name] by family, full name is [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]).
Over the years, best friends:
[name]Brittany[/name]: don’t think this name suit her the best, name was very popular in this area, felt like it was too generic for her (generic in that so many girls were named [name]Brittany[/name] and she was one among several even in our classroom!)
[name]Amanda[/name]: definitely suited her well
[name]Megan[/name]: didnt suit her; although over time I came to think of ‘[name]Megan[/name]’ associated with her and my association of the name became her
[name]Kristen[/name]: well suited; I see [name]Kristen[/name] as spunky, outgoing
[name]Nicole[/name]: felt this was too formal for her, although the name is not terribly formal, felt a good nn would have better suited her
[name]Jennifer[/name]: her nn [name]Jenn[/name] suited her best
[name]Sarah[/name]: have known many [name]Sara[/name]/Sarahs but this suited her very well

My absolute best friend’s name is [name]Amelia[/name]. Almost everyone calls her [name]Amie[/name] (like am-ee, not [name]Amy[/name]) or [name]Mell[/name]. It fits her like a T. I also have…
[name]Valeria[/name] “[name]Ria[/name]”
[name]Ava[/name]- has a little brother [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Camille[/name] “[name]Cami[/name]”- twin sister [name]Grace[/name]

[name]Ben[/name]. [name]Ben[/name]'s first name is hard to pronounce and spell. I am almost positive it starts with a S, but I am not sure, so everyone calls his [name]Ben[/name].
