[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] and [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] are my favorites! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] just has this vibe, it feels so regal and elegant but so spunky plus it’s the name for nicknames, so many with so many different vibes. With [name_f]Heather[/name_f] I think of Heathers so it has this this old, grungy vibe to me which I love, makes me think of 80s punk music. [name_f]Michelle[/name_f], I’m not sure honestly I just really like it, partially because of [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] from Spider-Man but the song [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] by [name_m]Sir[/name_m] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] probably influenced me a bit too

I love [name_f]Amy[/name_f]! Sweet, simple, literary and with a lovely meaning!!

[name_f]Megan[/name_f] would be my second pick - warm and rugged- and I love [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] and [name_f]Amber[/name_f] too

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. It’s just classic & smart & feminine but not frilly. And it has a ton of great nns. I like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Bess[/name_f], [name_f]Bette[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].

I don’t mind [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] from the list either, & also mainly because of the nns. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] & [name_f]Sally[/name_f] are the cutest, right?

Definitely Elizabeth, but I also love Sarah and Amy.

I had to go with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because she’s just THE classic name. Always in style, so many fun nicknames, such a unique sound. I know some people are probably bored of her but I still think she sounds fresh.

Runner-ups are [name_f]Megan[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f]. [name_f]Megan[/name_f] sounds so sweet and I love the nickname [name_f]Meg[/name_f]. I know it’s popular but I don’t personally know many. And I agree with @Greyblue on [name_f]Amy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], it’s such a timeless classic and has millions of great nicknames. I also like [name_f]Megan[/name_f] – a little dated perhaps, but I love the nn [name_f]Meg[/name_f].

I voted for [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] but I also love [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I love so many of these names (80s & 90s are right up my street) but a number of them don’t actually feel that ‘dated’ or ‘typically 80s’ (for want of a better word) to me! Being born in the UK in the late 90s, I went to primary school with an [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and I’ve got cousins called [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Megan[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (all born in the mid-late 90s)! I believe I’ve mentioned something like this before on one of my threads but I think that the US has always been slightly ahead of [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] by a few decades name wise (I put [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] together because a lot of their data is combined). Like [name_f]Megan[/name_f] for example, it is still quite a popular name in [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] even now whereas it might be seen as typically 80s in the US. But it didn’t catch on as a popular name in [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] until the 90s!

From your list, I did really love [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Megan[/name_f], [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] too. But I went for [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] because it is one of my all time favourite girls names. I think it’s sweet, classic and reminds me of [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] Cazalet in the ‘Cazalet Chronicles’ books by [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Howard[/name_u]!

Runner up would have to be [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]! I LOVE the name [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]! And think it’s spunky, bouncy, cute and a name I would love to see be more popular. It was never that popular in [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m], not like [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] or [name_u]Lindsey[/name_u] (another favourite of mine!) But for some reason, I do still think of the 80s when I see the name. There was a teens tv show show in the late 80s that had a character in it called [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] so maybe thats where my mind is at when I see [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]. Anyway, for a name I think has that 80s nostalgia, I always think of [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]!

I spent way too long answering this question, but I thought a point of view from outside the US might be interesting (ignore if not haha!). I’ll give you one more fun fact for the road: [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] was actually a very popular 80s-90s boys name in the UK! The [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] I knew growing up was a boy in the year above me at school and it has now become one of my favourite boys names! So I always have to check myself in contexts like these that I have the right gender! :joy:

I enjoyed this thread so much and I really hope my answer was was useful to you! :two_hearts:

I don’t really like any of them but I voted for [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] because I like a few of the “Ash” names so if I had to name a baby one of these names I’d go with [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] and just call them [name_u]Ash[/name_u] or [name_u]Asher[/name_u].

I’ve always loved sweet [name_f]Lauren[/name_f].

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], followed by [name_f]Amy[/name_f]. I just love how classic and literary they are, particularly the timeless [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

amber :sparkles: love the meaning and i feel it’s not thaat common

melissa :honeybee::tulip:

mostly because it’s the name of someone i love dearly, but i also love the sound and the nicknames “mel” and “missy”!

heather would’ve been my second choice!

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Stands the test of time. She could be a newborn or 99 years old and it works. Plus all the short forms and nicknames, [name_f]Liza[/name_f] (Lee-za) being my favourite!

[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is my favorite honestly, followed by [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Lauren[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Amber[/name_f], [name_f]Christina[/name_f], [name_f]Crystal[/name_f], and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]!

I voted for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because it’s timeless and I’m in LOVE with the nicknames especially [name_f]Libby[/name_f].

But it doesn’t feel especially 80s to me.

If I had a second vote, it would go to the lovely [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u], which feels very 80s to me and is my next top favorite from this list.

I voted for [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] but also love [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f].
