I know the name [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is pretty controversial, but I have a close family friend who wants to use it as their chosen name. We are helping her with legal paperwork and talking about picking another name for her legal name and using [name_f]Honey[/name_f] as a NN. Are there any really standout names that could make this work? Thanks so much!
Honora!!
I think anything with an H and a N would work, like…
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Honor[/name_u]
[name_f]Hanneli[/name_f]
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_u]Huntley[/name_u]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
I think names like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] work.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] → [name_f]Bea[/name_f] (Bee) → [name_f]Honey[/name_f]
[name_f]Honora[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]
[name_f]Melina[/name_f] (means honey)
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f] (means honey bee)
[name_f]Melita[/name_f] (means honey)
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f] (means honey)
[name_f]Pamela[/name_f] (means honey sweetness)
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
I think the easiest would be an H name, but if she wants to get really stretchy, should could use a word name that is a type of honey.
[name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_u]Manuka[/name_u]
[name_f]Wildflower[/name_f]
[name_f]Blossom[/name_f] (from [name_f]Apple[/name_f] Blossom)
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] is perfect! So starchy and vintage. I love it!
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] is a good idea! [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] or [name_f]Honorina[/name_f] could also work
[name_f]Hana[/name_f] (h-ah-na) and [name_u]Harmony[/name_u] seem the most natural to me.
Most of the other names i can think of have been mentioned.
But some names that mean honey…
Asal- persian
[name_f]Esti[/name_f]- Basque
[name_f]Melina[/name_f]
Miela
[name_u]Rosamel[/name_u]- rose and honey
[name_u]Vivendel[/name_u] means [name_f]Honeysuckle[/name_f]
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is the first that came to my mind.
