I’m not sure how to add a poll, so it’s the ones in my signature below. Suggestions are welcome.
For those who aren’t familiar, [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f] ([name_m]Zo[/name_m]-Cheel) is a popular Nahuatl name (popularly called Aztec) in Mexico meaning [name_f]Flower[/name_f].

I thought that [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f] was pronounced so-chat-ul, as the Nameberry page says. I like zo-cheel better.

It can be quite confusing, but this time nameberry has it wrong. Nahuatl is very different from Spanish :slight_smile: the “t” in “tl” is silent and as in most cases where words begin with X, [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f] has a sound that is a blend of Z with S.
