I adore the nn [name]Iggy[/name]. It has a very rocker feel to it thanks to [name]Iggy[/name] Pop. Definitely more masculine than [name]Izzy[/name].
[name]Nash[/name] is my favorite and I like [name]Nate[/name] also.
[name]Iggy[/name] is my least favorite–it sounds like a muppet.
[name]Izzy[/name] feels rather feminine (probably because of [name]Lizzie[/name])
I like them all except for [name]Izzy[/name]. [name]Iggy[/name] is my favorite.
In order I like [name]Nate[/name], [name]Izzy[/name], [name]Nash[/name] and [name]Iggy[/name].
[name]Nate[/name]'s cool! I wouldn’t have thought of that. [name]Iggy[/name] was my first thought, but I definitely like [name]Nate[/name] better.
I like [name]Iggy[/name] and [name]Nash[/name]!
It’s my top boy name and I hope I get to use it! We’d call him [name]Iggy[/name]
I like the idea of [name]Nate[/name]. I think it’s nice to have a more common nn with a less common full name, to give you more options, if he found it hard to wear the full [name]Ignatius[/name]. [name]Nate[/name]'s just easier to live up to, I think. But I do like [name]Nash[/name], too.
[name]Izzy[/name] is a bit too feminine, I think, what with the many [name]Isabel/name’s around who often go by [name]Izzy[/name]. I just think [name]Iggy[/name] is too cute! [name]Nate[/name] is the most normal, but [name]Nash[/name] sounds pretty cool too.
In terms of degrees of normal-ness: [name]Nate[/name], [name]Nash[/name], [name]Iggy[/name]
In terms of my favorites: [name]Iggy[/name], [name]Nash[/name], [name]Nate[/name] (haha)
Good luck, [name]Ignatius[/name] is a very handsome name!
I love the nn [name]Iggy[/name]!
I voted for [name]Iggy[/name]. It was my first thought but I also like it best because it’s the most unqiue and it’s harder to use with a larger range of common names than [name]Nate[/name] or [name]Izzy[/name] (and I don’t necessarily love [name]Nash[/name]).
I agree with your own assessment of [name]Nate[/name]. Why use something so bold and unique only to end up with something so bland in comparison?
I love [name]Iggy[/name] and [name]Nash[/name]. I don’t quite understand how [name]Izzy[/name] relates, but I don’t mind it.
I would actually say [name]Ziggy[/name]! But [name]Iggy[/name] is great too.
I like [name]Iggy[/name] and [name]Izzy[/name]! [name]Izzy[/name] has been used as a nn for the name [name]Israel[/name] and I never thought of it as feminine.
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Izzy[/name] for a boy! I think it’s simply adorable but really handsome and charming at the same time. I feel like it would work really well on an outgoing, sporty kind of boy, but also on a more reserved boy as well. And I don’t think it sounds feminine. I can see it being used as a nick name for [name]Isabella[/name], but I’ve always found it to be much more suiting on boys. If it’s YOUR favourite nick name, don’t let other people’s opinions change your mind! For those who think it’s too feminine, if you were to call your son [name]Izzy[/name], they’d get so used to knowing him as [name]Izzy[/name] that they’d begin to find it to be masculine as well.
My second choice would be [name]Nash[/name] probably. I really like this name as it is just so unique and fun. However, I think it’s a bit of a strecth from [name]Nash[/name], and probably the least natural of the bunch [unforunately, as it’s awesome].
My third choice would most likely be [name]Iggy[/name]. It’s definitely a natural nick name from [name]Ignatius[/name], but I also think it sounds quite childish and “pet-like”. I’ve known a friend’s pet iguana named [name]Iggy[/name] and a hermit crab named [name]Iggy[/name], so I can’t really picture it on a human, myself.
Lastly, I’d choose [name]Nate[/name]. While I do like the nick name [name]Nate[/name], I agree with you about the whole [name]Nathan[/name] thing. If you’re going the distance to name your son [name]Ignatius[/name], calling him [name]Nate[/name] seems like a waste of an awesome name.
Good luck!
I’m not a big fan of nicknames, and so I didn’t vote for [name]Iggy[/name] because it’s the one I like best. I just think that if you are going to name him [name]Ignatius[/name], [name]Iggy[/name] is the obvious nickname. If you want a [name]Nate[/name], you go for [name]Nathan[/name] or [name]Nathanial[/name]. But you love [name]Ignatius[/name], so might as well embrace that in his nickname too, and [name]Iggy[/name] does that.
