Give me your best ideas for Peter nicknames, stretchy or not! This name keeps coming to the top of my list for both family and style reasons but I just can’t get into Pete. Thank you berries!
I’m not super into [name_m]Pete[/name_m] either but I do think [name_m]Petey[/name_m] is cute
Otherwise maybe…

I know a based-on-a-real-story novel that has a [name_m]Peter[/name_m] nicknamed [name_m]Pelle[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] family tree includes lots of Swedish; I’ve always thought [name_m]Pelle[/name_m] was cute.
@EagleEyes [name_m]Per[/name_m] is a good idea! Also think [name_u]Petya[/name_u] is cute, though I don’t think I’d use it.
@Greyblue so glad you mentioned [name_u]Pip[/name_u]! This was my breakthrough idea but I wanted to see if other people came to it naturally or if it was too stretchy. I also like [name_u]Puck[/name_u], so literary! And Pez reminds me of [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_u]Mars[/name_u].
@bellerose [name_u]Percy[/name_u] is a great stretch suggestion!
@auroradawn I went to school with a [name_m]Pelle[/name_m]! I never knew it was related to [name_m]Peter[/name_m].
Thank you for all your ideas!
[name_m]Pete[/name_m] is the best!
Other ones.
[name_u]Terry[/name_u]
Pit
[name_u]Perry[/name_u]
[name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_m]Petey[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Petey[/name_m] and [name_m]Piers[/name_m] and [name_m]Pierre[/name_m] and [name_m]Pal[/name_m].
[name_u]Pip[/name_u] definitely works! I love that.
I have a nephew named [name_m]Peter[/name_m], and other than calling him [name_m]Petey[/name_m] the Horrible when he was a toddler, no one has ever called him [name_m]Pete[/name_m], and he’s in the [name_u]Navy[/name_u].
Pier, [name_m]Piero[/name_m], [name_m]Per[/name_m] (pronounced “pair”), and Peader (Pather) come to mind. [name_m]Pippo[/name_m] is another one, although it’s more often used for [name_m]Giuseppe[/name_m].
@miloowen Good to hear that a nickname isn’t inevitable!
