The name [name_f]Marin[/name_f] popped into my head yesterday and I am really liking it. I need some advise about spelling though.

[name_f]Maren[/name_f] is my favourite spelling, though [name_f]Marin[/name_f] is nice too.
[name_f]Maren[/name_f] and [name_f]Marin[/name_f] are both legitimate and traditional spellings- [name_f]Maren[/name_f] is Danish and [name_f]Marin[/name_f] is Romanian/Croatian/Serbian. There’s also a county in [name_u]California[/name_u] called [name_f]Marin[/name_f], but that’s ma-[name_f]RIN[/name_f], not [name_f]MAR[/name_f]-in (like [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] v. [name_f]Karen[/name_f]).
I prefer [name_f]Maren[/name_f] because I think it’s the easier spelling to pronounce, but there’s nothing wrong with [name_f]Marin[/name_f].

[name_f]Maren[/name_f] is definitely my favorite. [name_f]Marin[/name_f] gets mispronounced constantly in my experience with it.
