I teach a [name]Mia[/name] and it sound fine to me.
I voted [name]Amelia[/name] since I quite like the name, and quite like [name]Mia[/name] as a nickname for it.
I also know of a berry using it as a nickname for [name]Camille[/name], which I have loved since hearing it!
I think [name]Mia[/name] is a wonderful, strong, elemental name. The [name]Mia[/name] I know is a beautiful human, so maybe I’m biased. Only qualm with the name is that it’s a bit popular. Not hugely popular, but up there.
I know a [name]Mia[/name] (she’s about 16 now) and she is a lovely young lady. I think it works just fine on its own.
I would use [name]Mia[/name] on its own, but I’ve always had a soft spot for [name]Maria[/name] with the nickname [name]Mia[/name].
[name]Mia[/name] alone is quite popular in the UK. I don’t think it needs to have a longer name, but [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Emilia[/name] would work if you wanted them to. I don’t, however, think [name]Maria[/name] works very well since it’s just [name]Mia[/name] with an extra syllable in the middle.
Out of [name]Emilia[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name], I would choose [name]Emilia[/name] as it’s ‘mi’ rather than ‘me’ so it just looks more natural with [name]Mia[/name] as a nickname. Although I prefer [name]Amelia[/name] as a whole.
I voted for [name]Mia[/name] standalone
If you want something a bit less popular, I do like [name]Maria[/name] too
I voted for [name]Emilia[/name].
I know a whole bunch of [name]Mia[/name]'s, I think it’s a lovely name and absolutely enough. I’m very against the whole “a name has to be long to be a real name” type thing; [name]Mia[/name] is a name, not a nickname.
