[name_m]Hi[/name_m] !
I’m [name_m]French[/name_m] and my husband is Canadian. We live in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]. We’re having a baby soon so we’re looking for a name which is easy to say in these two countries. We both like classic names such as [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] (it’s our favorite for a girl). We’re still looking for a boy name and we can’t manage to agree on one.
He loves [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] but it’s very popular in [name_f]France[/name_f] and I don’t really like the way they’re prononced in English.
We really need your help !
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]

What about something like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] nn [name_u]Sascha[/name_u] ?
A few ideas:
[name_u]Dominique[/name_u] or even [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] (nn. [name_m]Dom[/name_m])
[name_u]Auguste[/name_u]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Maxime[/name_u] (nn. [name_u]Max[/name_u])
[name_m]Amaury[/name_m]
[name_m]Basile[/name_m]
Also love the idea of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] nn. [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
Thanks for your ideas !
In [name_m]French[/name_m], I like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] (it was my grandfather’s name) but my husband keeps telling me it’s not a boy’s name. We both like [name_m]Louis[/name_m] but my sister gave birth to a boy they called [name_m]Louis[/name_m] last year so we can’t name our baby the same.
[name_u]Dominique[/name_u] is such an old-fashioned name for a baby in [name_f]France[/name_f].
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u] sounds good, I put it on my list !
I thought about [name_m]Charles[/name_m] (or [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]) but the website says it’s the 2nd name given to dogs in 2017.
Another question : how do you choose the middle name(s) of your baby? [name_m]How[/name_m] many are there?
My first instinct was immediately [name_m]Milo[/name_m].
I know a [name_f]Camille[/name_f]–male, and [name_m]French[/name_m]–and he wears it well even in his early 30s.
Most people have one middle name but there are also a good amount who have two. This might be a good place to use [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] to honor relatives or throw in a favorite name you can’t use as a first!
[name_m]Julien[/name_m]/[name_m]Julian[/name_m] is one of my favourites that’s easy to pronounce in both languages.
[name_m]Henri[/name_m]/[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a good one too
Sébastien / [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
Léo / [name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Adrien[/name_u]/[name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
First to mind is [name_m]Julien[/name_m] although it has already been suggested. I do love it though!
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u] is a great name! [name_u]Sacha[/name_u] would be the [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling, however!
Other ideas:
Raphaël
Théo
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
Clément
[name_m]Mathis[/name_m]
[name_m]Marius[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]

Btw, I really like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] for a male! [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is technically unisex in [name_f]France[/name_f].
I don’t really like [name_m]Julien[/name_m], it seemed a bitime old fashioned in [name_f]France[/name_f].
[name_m]Henri[/name_m] sounds good too!
We also want to avoid any é ë ï (or letters like that) because my man finds them hard to be pronounced…
