Bill

What do you think of [name]Bill[/name]. It is my grandfathers Australian name (converted from a Greek name)
I love the nickname [name]Billy[/name].
And can you think of another way of getting to [name]Bill[/name] other than [name]William[/name]?

[name]Bill[/name] is pleasant. I like using family names. I can’t say I’d choose [name]Bill[/name] without that but I don’t think it’s unfortunate really. I admit I do slightly prefer [name]Will[/name] though, if that’s an option.

Other ways of getting to [name]Bill[/name]:

[name]Willard[/name]
[name]Wilson[/name]/[name]Williamson[/name] - normally I’m not huge on surnames as first names but since its literally in honour of a [name]William[/name] ancestor the whole “son of [name]William[/name]” thing is kind of interesting.
[name]Willoughby[/name]

Completely inexplicably, I know a [name]Bill[/name] who’s a [name]Howard[/name].
