I am a HUGE lover of [name_u]Michael[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and thanks to a girl at my old school I have once again fallen in love with the name [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. :eek: 
But would you use it?

As soon I as read the title of this thread the MJ song got stuck in my head. I think its cute but could never in a million years use it. It is just still SO connected to the song and honestly is a little trashy as a name.
I’m not a fan of either part of the name, but it’s a solid combo (and what little girl doesn’t love knowing her name is a SONG, that sounds like the coolest), and in my opinion [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_m]King[/name_m] is an excellent person to share a name with.
Yikes I wouldn’t stick a child with a name that has that much of a connection to a song. She may hate the song, and then what?
If you are absolutely sure she will love [name_u]Michael[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], then I think it is a nice combo, lovely sounding. I would not use it personally, but I like it for somebody else’s child.
And you say you know a [name_u]Billie[/name_u]-[name_u]Jean[/name_u], did she have any problems with her name? Asking a bearer is always helpful.
P.S. I have the “[name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is not my lover” line stuck in my head, thanks to the thread.

I think it’d be better to go with something like [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] or [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] or any other “[name_m]Wil[/name_m]” girls name. That way she’d have more to work with if she didn’t find it as cute and special as you did. Which I think there’d be a greater risk of than other names you could potentially name her.
I think MJ was a very talented guy, however I am not so keen on names that have such a huge association such as this one and the bad publicity he endured on his personal life would also make me hesitate to give my child this moniker.

I’m not a fan. Not only will almost everyone of a certain age have an immediate connection to the [name_u]Michael[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] song, but the name itself isn’t really cute. Sorry, that’s just my personal opinion, but I’ve never been a fan of [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. Also, the song [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] itself is a great song, but if you listen to the lyrics I don’t think it’s something you want to associate with your child. Isn’t the song about a woman accusing the singer of fathering her child but he swears it’s not his?
[name_u]Jean[/name_u] is masculine. I would not use it.
