Bj?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] recently started to like the name Bj for a boy, However I feel that it can only be used as a middle name?

So I’m looking for a B first name and a J middle name.

Personally I would stay far, far away from BJ. I think it would be nearly impossible for a teen boy with that name to get through life without incessant teasing…

No, no, a thousand times no. There is nothing particularly wrong with using a B first name and a J middle name, but on no condition should you call him Bj. I know kids will make fun of anything, but this really would be like putting a massive ‘kick me’ sign on your own child. I assume you know it is a common short term for fellatio? [name_u]Early[/name_u] childhood would probably be fine, but teens and adults would be laughing at this for the rest of his life.

I agree with the above posters. [name_m]How[/name_m] about initials TJ or DJ instead?

Yeah, BJ is not good at all. I went to high school with a boy that went by BJ, and there was a good amount of “blow job” jokes cast his way, though the boy was “cool” in that he played a guitar and had long hair… and the jokes just turned light-hearted and fun. I couldn’t guarantee that the blow job jokes for a guy that goes by BJ will be as nice as it was for the BJ I went to school with.

Going by BJ isn’t the best, every-time I hear it I immediately think “blow job.”

[name_f]Do[/name_f] not call your son BJ.

My daughter has 2 R.J.'s in her class. It’s much better. I also kinda like E.J. and M.J. [name_f]Do[/name_f] not use B.J.

No no no no no. [name_m]Just[/name_m] no.

It’s a bad idea to call him BJ. I am pretty sure evryone from 5 to 100 know what is it slang for, so I highly recommend avoiding it. What about AJ, DJ…?

I knew someone named [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] who when by BJ, but it was said in a teasing way. I would strongly suggest staying away from just “BJ”. If you really like the way it sounds, I would go with B______ J_______ LastName (such as [name_m]Brian[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]).

Another suggestion: JB.

I think JB is a great suggestion, or even [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m]! It has the two initials right there, but I doubt the BJ jokes would be anywhere near as bad. I’m not a fan of the _J initials nickname, anyway–it seems to take a lot of the creativity and fun out of naming, if you’re just picking two names that will create a nn based on initials, but I think some of them are okay (I like the sound of EJ, MJ, and KJ…). Anything but a “B”, though!

About 15 years ago when my family and I lived in [name_u]Colorado[/name_u], a neighbor family had a teen [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] [name_m]Jr[/name_m]. who went by BJ. I never heard him teased for it by anyone. He was a popular jock, though, so maybe his status saved him from teasing.

My nephew goes by JB, so that is a good alternate option if the BJ think really bothers you.

No, not BJ. However, you could reverse it and call the kid JB. That has a nice ring to it [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

You seem to like a mix of vintage and exotic names, judging from your girls list…so with that in mind, maybe…

[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Bingham[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]

Other B names : [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Bronson[/name_m], [name_m]Boone[/name_m], [name_u]Blake[/name_u]
Other J names : [name_m]Judah[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]

I knew a BJ and a JB growing up, but I definitely prefer JB.

Yep, Bl-- J-b is my first thought. This would just be cruel I prefer AJ, CJ, JT.
