Help me decide on a name for our blue eyed boy. We are settled on [name_u]Bleu/name_u but need advice on spelling. Our other sons are [name_m]Bear[/name_m] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] ([name_u]Gray[/name_u]). Thank you. [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m]
Personally, neither are my style and they don’t really appeal to me a names. However, I would not spell it Bleux, simply because it looks very youneek. If you’re set on the name, go for [name_u]Bleu[/name_u].
Are you pronouncing it like the English word blue, or like the actual word “bleu” in [name_m]French[/name_m]?
I’d opt for [name_u]Blue[/name_u]. [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] will be tough for English speakers to pronounce, and it sounds a bit abrupt when pronounced correctly. Also, it reminds me of fromage bleu.
Yes, I was confused about this too. [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] doesn’t make sense if you are pronouncing it [name_u]Blue[/name_u], while the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation isn’t appealing as a name.
If you like [name_u]Blue[/name_u], then why not just use that? Changing the spelling will only make things more confusing, no one will ever think “Oh [name_u]Blue[/name_u], spelt Bleux.”
I love your other son’s names - [name_m]Bear[/name_m] & [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] are so cool!
I’d go with [name_u]Blue[/name_u], or even [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] if you must but definitely the X is excessive. What about [name_m]Beau[/name_m]? I really like [name_m]Beau[/name_m] with [name_m]Bear[/name_m] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] 
What’s wrong with [name_u]Blue[/name_u]? Your older children have English spellings so why not continue the pattern. [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] is the [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling but it’s pronounced differently. It would also cause a lot of headaches with spelling. Bleux doesn’t exist as a name so it shouldn’t even be an option.

Bleux is faux-[name_m]French[/name_m].
That’s what bothers me so much about it. Bleus is still not great, but at least it’d be grammatically correct.
Apparently there’s a design centre or something in Australia called ‘Bleux’, and maybe OP is Australian and that’s where they got it from?
Bleux is also a very uncommon [name_m]French[/name_m] surname, but it’s definitely not a first name.
In any case, if it’s getting pronounced “bloo” like blue, then neither spelling option makes any sense to me.
If it’s getting pronounced “bleuh”, then [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] is the logical option since bleux is not a word, so the blue connection is null.
ETA: I wiki’ed and bleux was used as a word for blue (in a plural form) in the 1700s in one document. Not sure how far in to the present it was used, though, or if bleus was used at the same time. Or if it was a typo.
Anyway, just trying to cover the bases before I jump in to a a definite yes or no camp without doing research.
I also think [name_u]Blue[/name_u] is your best bet here. [name_u]Bleu[/name_u] is not used as a name in [name_m]French[/name_m], and Bleux is not a word at all.
As others have suggested, I would use [name_u]Blue[/name_u].
