We really like the name [name]Blithe[/name] for our little girl, although we go back and forth on the spelling. I love the “y” version but it just feels…heavier. Which way do you prefer it?
As for middle names we’re thinking:
[name]Renae[/name] (pronounced like [name]Renee[/name])
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Abigail[/name]
Although recently I’ve come to favor [name]Addison[/name] over [name]Abigail[/name] (although that’s still my husbands favorite).
Our last name is two syllabus and starts with an “N” (think common last names.)
Can anyone give us some suggestions or alternate middle names? It would be much appreciated!!
[name]Blythe[/name] by a mile! I think Bylthe [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] are equally gorgeous. [name]Blithe[/name] makes me want to pronounce it more like Bleeth as in [name]Yasmine[/name] Bleeth but I’m not really sure why.
I like the y spelling best. I like [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]. I don’t care for [name]Addison[/name]. [name]How[/name] about [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] or [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]?
I love [name]Blythe[/name]. I vastly prefer the [name]Blythe[/name] spelling. It’s a gorgeous name. [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] is a lovely name. I also really love the suggestions of [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name], [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name], and [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Victoria[/name].
A few other suggestions are
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
I’ve always preferred [name]Blithe[/name] over [name]Blythe[/name]. [name]Blithe[/name] has a more sophisticated feel to it, but [name]Blythe[/name] is a little sassier and trendy.
[name]Blithe[/name] is like blithering as in “blithering idiot”.
I also like that [name]Blythe[/name] goes up and down. When she spells her name there will be more of a dynamic and it’s more interesting than if it never goes below the line.
Also [name]Blithe[/name] would have to correct people on how to spell her name. [name]Blythe[/name] wouldn’t have to.
Lastly, [name]Blithe[/name] contains lithe, which could be mean and strange to live up to.
I like [name]Blithe[/name] for a boy or girl mn (Yes, [name]Blithe[/name] is unisex). I looks more sophisticated and airy. Not a big fan of it as a fn
[name]Blythe[/name] is more well-known so it would avoid spelling problems. If that doesn’t bother you then I prefer the lightness of [name]Blithe[/name]
