Not sure whether to put this in the writing or girl’s name category, since it’s for a character.

I want the love interest in my story to be called Bluebird. I figure it’s a nickname. Should her name be something similar (like starting with a B) or should she have another reason for the nickname?

I like having a reason for it! Maybe she has really blue eyes and someone close to her called her that when she was young because of it and she kept it (even sadder if she started going by that nickname because said loved one passed away)? [name_u]Or[/name_u] she rescued a bluebird that fell from its nest at school or work or something and people started calling her the Bluebird [name_f]Girl[/name_f] and it got shortened?

I really like this idea! I have a character called Nimble for similar reasons.

Totally random but I met a girl named Bleubird today, she was in Kindergarten! She went by [name_u]Bleu[/name_u].

I feel like either it’s a cool backstory or she has a somewhat crazy name like [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
