I’m in the process of trying to redo my list and came across Blues on here. At first I thought it was crazy but keep going back to it and now have it on my maybe list with the combo Blues Kenneth🥴.
I know the Blues Clues reference is probably too strong but, I’m loving it now. Even with all the negative feedback it’s just growing on me more and more.
All of that to say, could it work as a first name? Overall thoughts?
[name_m]Blues[/name_m] sounds cool and trendy, being a colour name.
But all I can think of is [name_m]Blues[/name_m] clues. I think that’s a generation thing though.
I immediately thought of blues music, definitely not of the TV show. But I don’t think the show is an overwhelming or negative reference anyway. I think [name_m]Blues[/name_m] definitely works! It feels very musical, full of whimsy and prairie class to me.
[name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] wouldn’t be my usual first pick, but I’m really liking it here!
@snowmaiden One of my top reason I love it is the jazz/music reference!
[name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] would be honoring, as I have a grandfather named [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] and my middle name is [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]. But that aside I love so many combos you put!
[name_m]Blues[/name_m] [name_m]Oswald[/name_m] and [name_m]Blues[/name_m] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] are AMAZING!
@DayKen95 , oh, I just adore that. [name_u]Honor[/name_u] names are so my cup of tea. And what a beautiful double honor that is. Such a great flow and feel with [name_m]Blues[/name_m]. Bluegrass, late summer feels… Amazing stuff!! x
I’ve just clicked on the name [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] and found out it means “son of Kenneth!” Wow! Had no idea, but loving it even more for you now.
I love [name_m]Blues[/name_m]! He was in one of my last signatures before we switched to this platform
I absolutely can see [name_m]Blues[/name_m] working as a first name! I’m pretty sure I’ve come across at least one on social media, but I can’t remember for sure
i think it’s really cool! my initial thought wasn’t actually blues clues however now that you’ve said it i can’t unsee it that being said i dont think its unusuable! :))
I like it! The actress who plays [name_f]Megan[/name_f] [name_m]Draper[/name_m] in Mad Men has a [name_m]Blues[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] — I love the juxtaposition of cool [name_m]Blues[/name_m] with classic, even slightly dated [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]. [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] has a similar vibe and works well. I also love the idea of [name_m]Blues[/name_m] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u].
Makes me think of feeling down & depressed, don’t think I’d appreciate being named something so negative.
I also think of Blue’s clues but definitely the mental health connection first.
I didn’t think of Blue’s clues because it’s not actually [name_m]Blues[/name_m], it’s just [name_u]Blue[/name_u] and even when I see the name blue I don’t even think about Blue’s clues. If I had a child and watched it with them a lot then maybe, but I think a lot of people wouldn’t even make the assumption or connection. It’s a lovely name
