I don’t see the purpose of blurring things people wrote (or do they blur them themselves?) because they don’t disappear. You can still see them if you click on them. Mostly I then just find out someone’s grandma’s name, hardly controversial. ?
People do this themselves, it’s not the system-- usually people blur spoilers for a TV show/other piece of media, something that could be upsetting to people, or something that they’d like to be a little more private (like a family member’s name).
It’s mainly so that if people don’t want to see what’s under the blur, they can choose not to.

Thanks! Call me [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], but I always look. Of course it helps that I’ve never heard of the TV show or movie!
