Hello everyone! I’ve been a name nerd for a while so I’ve seen a lot of names. I had a friend who recently named her child a very bold whimsical name (I won’t post the name because I don’t have permission). It got me thinking about the bold names I used to love and have since forgotten because I was told to never use them. Now I have a new confidence that I could one day use a bold name.
With that little back story, what’s a name you think is bold or have been told is unusable by someone? I’m so excited to see what you guys post!
To start:
[name_f]Topanga[/name_f]
Avenoir
Zeolide
Eunoia
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Topanga[/name_f], gives me serious [name_m]Boy[/name_m] Meets World vibes (which is where my love for the name [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] came from, the joys of teenage crushes )
Not sure if any would be considered bold but 99% of the names I love are considered unusable by everyone around me here’s a few:
I have lots of names that I love that would be very bold to use in real life, even though I would be so excited to meet one.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite bold choices for girl names come in four kinds:
[name_m]Long[/name_m], weird, magical-sounding, very feminine girl names with too many syllables for most people’s comfort (and a few of these were made up for fictional characters making them even bolder choices)
Names I or another berry made up, sometimes for a game:
Karia
Noraline
Lucelia
Maxana
Liliopeia
Unusual foreign names that would seem weird on my kid (they are pretty exclusively used by an ethnicity or culture that I don’t have any particular connection to)
[name_f]My[/name_f] bold name crush has always been [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]. I’ve been told by many friends that it’s unusable, however it’s still always remained a favourite.
I also like the idea of very traditional boys names for girls every now and then, which I’d consider a bold choice. Names such as [name_m]Evan[/name_m] or [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]David[/name_m] on a girl will always intrigue me (this began when for some reason I thought [name_m]David[/name_m] Guetta was a woman).
Avenoir is incredible! So glamorous. I’d love to hear it used in real life.
[name_f]My[/name_f] addition to bold names would be [name_f]Xiola[/name_f]. I just discovered her, and not even sure [name_f]Xiola[/name_f] is a legitimate name. But how fun and energetic! Not sure if it’s usable because the main Google search result has a bit of a tragic story.
