WDYT of [name]Boone[/name]? Is it to much of a “hick” name or a handsome country? We really like the sound of [name]Boone[/name] [name]Kane[/name] but we just want to make sure it is not over the top and venturing into redneck territory. Does it fit with our sibset?
I like [name]Boone[/name] all right, though I think of the “boonies” a little. On a bigger scale, I feel that [name]Boone[/name] [name]Kane[/name] suffers from being one syllable-one syllable AND ending the same way (-ne) AND you already have a son with a one-syllable, -n ending name. While I don’t think it’s too hick in and of itself, I do think [name]Boone[/name] sounds heavy compared with [name]Dean[/name], [name]Russell[/name], [name]Paisley[/name], and [name]Cheyenne[/name].
Have you considered [name]Bowen[/name]? I think the extra syllable helps lighten it up and sounds awesome! For a similar sound, you might also think about [name]Bryce[/name]/[name]Brice[/name], [name]Bridger[/name], [name]Bowie[/name] (maybe as a nn for [name]Bowen[/name]?), or [name]Barrett[/name].
I love the name [name]Boone[/name]! I picture a rough and tumble little boy. It fits well with your other kids.
Makes me think of Boones farm liquor
I cant decide if I like it or not…sometimes I think I like it…then I think I dont… example: I was starting to like it until the boones farm wine reference…and now Im not sure LOL.
I also go back and forth on [name]Boone[/name]. [name]Boone[/name] [name]Kane[/name] really sounds like a country star to me! Maybe you could use it as an MN and if he does become a country star he can use still use it LOL
I love it! It was one of my best friend’s favorite boys’ names (I think her combo is still [name]Boone[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] [name]Leo[/name]), and I have always loved [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Boone[/name] so it holds great meaning to me. It’s been on my list for years now ([name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name]–yeah, I do notice the resemblance to my friend’s combo, haha), and I think it’s fabulous! I love [name]Boone[/name] with your other children and I don’t think [name]Boone[/name] [name]Kane[/name] is any worse than [name]Dean[/name] [name]Kane[/name]! I think it’s a wonderful choice.
It doesn’t seem to be a huge favorite of everyone, but it does seem to be warming up on people in general and I love that it is a French name meaning “blessing/good”! [name]How[/name] sweet is that?
I’d expect a [name]Boone[/name] [name]Kane[/name] to be Southern and from the country, but I wouldn’t think redneck. All the rednecks I know are still naming their kids [name]Justin[/name] and [name]Ashley[/name] or have ventured into [name]Kayden[/name] and [name]Nevaeh[/name] territory.
