Not names you hate, but names that you’re just really bored of. Are they any names where you just can’t see the appeal because of how often you hear them? I know I have some…
I would like to keep bashing to a minimum and simply have a discussion.
Boys: [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m] (seriously I know/have known at least 5 different [name_m]Williams[/name_m]), [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_u]Alex[/name_u] (but it is the name of a good friend of mine) [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_m]Eric[/name_m]
Girls: [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] (even as a kid I thought this name was boring), [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
No offence to anyone with these names. I do not hate any of these names, I just hear a lot of them.
I dont understand the appeal of [name_u]Aiden[/name_u], or any of its rhyming friends, or other spellings. [name_m]Caden[/name_m], [name_u]Jayden[/name_u]…
I’m tired of [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f].
I’m a bit tired of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. They’re all lovely names, but I can’t see their beauty anymore because they’re EVERYWHERE.
So many girls at my school with these names:
Simran
[name_f]Halima[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
Safiyyah (just blends in with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] in my head)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_u]Izzy[/name_u]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
I don’t even know anyone with most of the boys names, but I’ve just heard them so much (from TV shows, or lessons), I feel like there needs to be a break. There does seem to be with some of them.
I’m bored of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], plus [name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m].
I appreciate though, that names which are boring to someone’s ear, will be music to another’s.
Had to look up how to pronounce the name, what I thought it was (ee-moe-gan) was way off. I don’t care for the name regardless though xD I can see how people who aren’t name nerds like everyone on this site would possibly get it wrong though. Possibly not half of the people, but there are certainly some out there I bet.
Girls: [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or “[name_f]Bella[/name_f]”, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
Unisex: [name_u]Finley[/name_u]
Boys: [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_m]Jack[/name_m]/[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]/[name_m]Jaxson[/name_m], [name_u]Aiden[/name_u]/[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] and anything at rhymes with it
