Botanical Names

What are your favorite botanical names? What are some unusual ones?
I like [name]Violet[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Leaf[/name], [name]Briar[/name]

I like your choices! [name]Magnolia[/name] has been a favorite of mine for a while.

[name]PRIMROSE[/name]! New favorite!
[name]Zahara[/name] – I thought this word was something [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name] made up, pretty, but, well, made up. I was much more impressed when I learned it was Hebrew for flower!

I still like standards such as [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] too.

I love a lot of botanical names…

Botanical names:
[name]Susannah[/name] (Hebrew for lily)

[name]Zinnia[/name] and [name]Marigold[/name]!

I’ve always liked [name]Willow[/name]. Also starting to like [name]Heather[/name], [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name], which isn’t exactly a botanical name but it does mean lily.

I love botanical names! [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] are lovely, but some other less common choices I enjoy:

[name]Clover[/name] (although I do have a male friend with this name and he is starting to convince me it isn’t bad on a boy)
[name]Orchid[/name] (but purely as a GP)

Oh, I love [name]Hawthorn[/name], never heard that one before!

I also love [name]Juniper[/name], [name]Zinnia[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Fern[/name] and [name]Primrose[/name].

[name]Hazel[/name], [name]Fern[/name], and [name]Rowan[/name] are my ultimate favorites. I love botanical names! So beautiful.
