I’m going to change my name.I no longer like my name,[name_f]Amaya[/name_f].[name_f]My[/name_f] highest contenders are [name_f]Alouette[/name_f],[name_u]Luca[/name_u],and [name_f]Scirocco[/name_f].I would use all three, but I plan on my middle names being [name_f]Amaya[/name_f](so my family can still call me that while getting used to the change)and [name_f]Lucille[/name_f],after my great-grandmother(whom I sadly never met).
I’d prefer boy names, since most of my female family members have feminine names.
Also, please try to avoid common names,as most my family are given those([name_f]Emma[/name_f],[name_m]Zachary[/name_m],[name_f]Leah[/name_f]…).
Thank you.
[name_f]My[/name_f] grandmothers name was [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_m]Payne[/name_m] and I always thought that sounded badass. Good luck finding a name for yourself.
From the names you listed, I would go with [name_f]Alouette[/name_f] although it sounds very feminine, but I think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_m]Payne[/name_m] nn [name_f]Lu[/name_f] would be a nice name.
Although I do like that combo, there are two problems;one,it’s getting more popular, and that’s why I’m changing my name in the first place-[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is getting to popular, and I don’t want to be associated with a celebrities child. Two;I fear that, since my great-grandmother was so beloved, making my first name [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] would be to much for my brethren to cope with.
With the last name [name_m]Payne[/name_m], you are going to be associated with celebrities because of [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Payne[/name_m] from One Direction. [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is extremely uncommon already, isn’t it? [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Amiya[/name_f]? I think it’s really pretty with the i. Are you asking us to think of some boy names?
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], [name_u]Scout[/name_u], or [name_u]Reece[/name_u]? [name_m]Austin[/name_m]?
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] ([name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] might work)
[name_m]Adler[/name_m]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u] (I’m really warming up to this name on a girl)
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Jerry[/name_u]/[name_u]Gerry[/name_u]
[name_u]Jamie[/name_u]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
Feminine, but not frilly:
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] (This sounds so masculine to me, but apparently it’s a girls name)
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]
[name_f]Christine[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
Thank you,but I’ve met multiple people who go “Hey,like that celebrities kid!”.Plus,I plan on traveling the world, and my name is very popular in Japan and many other places.
Actually,[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is in the Top 300.And,my name is a pun.
[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_m]Payne[/name_m]=Am I a pain?
I like the names you suggested, but they all seem a bit worn to me-even [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u].
Yes,[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is that popular. In [name_u]America[/name_u],it’s most popular among Hispanic families, which are now the majority of the U.S. population.By the by,where do you live in Japan?I know its common somewhere there, but since [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is one the only female Japanese names to end in -ya,which is considered a male suffix,it’ll probably be more popular in Hokkaido, since it is a bit more authentic.Besides,in Japan,[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] would be pronounced [name_m]AH[/name_m]-muh-yuh,rather than Uh-my-uh.
I live in Saitama which is outside Tokyo.
Hmm, I don’t really think that Hokkaido would be so different ,
VERY unlikely but if they were so ‘old school’ they might be using old lady names such as Fuji, Koto e.t.c. Or even using the suffix -ko alot more which has gone down in trend for example.
There may be a large group of Amayas somewhere, if there is I haven’t heard of them yet.
I knew a boy with last name [name_m]Payne[/name_m]. His name was [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], and his sister was [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. Doubt that would be your style though.
