Boy Name - Nash

Hi!

My husband and I are having a hard time deciding on a name. We love the name [name_m]Nash[/name_m], but we’re not sure if it pairs well with our last name, Masters.

Nash Masters.

We feel stuck because we don’t want to ask our family and friends, so figured we’d see what you all think!

We’re also trying to think of middle names if anyone has ideas!

First of all, welcome to nameberry!

Nash Masters. First reading and saying it aloud i think it flows nice enough to use. I have [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] on my list but that doesn’t sound very good with Masters, so I would pair it with something classic.

Nash [name_m]David[/name_m] Masters

Nash [name_u]Jay[/name_u] Masters

Nash [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] Masters

Nash [name_u]Michael[/name_u] Masters

Here are a few choices I think flow a little better, but have that short, spunky, western feel of [name_m]Nash[/name_m]. because you do have that short a twice.

Knox Masters

Gage Masters

Corbin Masters

Finn Masters

Pace Masters

I hope this helps x

I really like the name [name_m]Nash[/name_m]! I think it sounds fine with your last name… I’d pair with a longer middle to balance it out. I also like a bit more of a traditional middle with a modern first but not sure if that’s your style or not.

Nash [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]

Good luck!

Welcome to Nameberry!

Nash Masters pairs perfectly well in my opinion!

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]

I must say, you have great taste in names  if we have a boy, we’re considering naming him [name_m]Nash[/name_m]. We went through our family history and found some names. I love [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Auden[/name_u], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Amedee[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Bennett[/name_u].

I hate to be the wet blanket here but as much as I love [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m] Masters is a bit of a tongue twister and IMO, sadly I don’t think it flows very well. [name_m]Nas[/name_m] Mas…It is certain doable but it depends how much it bothers you. Inserting a middle name fixes that but on a day-to-day basis, he will be known only by his first and last name. We had an issue somewhat like that as our last name begins with S and it doesn’t work with names ending in S or sh so I definitely understand.

That’s sort of what we were thinking. We originally pegged [name_m]Nash[/name_m] as the middle name but loved it so much we started thinking about making it the first.

We’ll keep thinking! We appreciate your honesty.

Welcome!
I think your gut instinct is right here – the FN/LN doesn’t sound great back-to-back, which is how ppl use their names/are address 99.9% of the time. [I hear the dominant sounds of [name_u]Ash[/name_u]-Ass, which isn’t … Super?]

If [name_m]Nash[/name_m] could be his Nicknames/pet name/family name, then there are some options for close alternatives!

  • Nolan Masters
  • Noel Masters
  • Nate / [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] Masters
  • Nash as a MN
  • Nashville as FN

Nash Masters sounds fine to me

Nash [name_u]Oliver[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]

I get your hesitation here. It’s a fine line. Maybe if you want the option of [name_m]Nash[/name_m] with a little less uncertainty, you could do an Na- first and a Sh-middle?

Like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Shay[/name_u] Masters or something
