My SO and I are at odds when it comes to a boy name. My mind leans toward predictable and classic, while my heart goes toward interesting and less common. His opinion is extremely limited to “I like that.” and “Nope.”
He has nixed [name_u]Brennan[/name_u], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and [name_m]Caden[/name_m] from our list. He is still considering [name_u]Cade[/name_u] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]. Our last name rhymes with Kelson, so I’ve cut any -son names from the list.
Here is a random list of what I like from the top 1000 to give some insight on my taste. I haven’t run most of these past him yet, but I’ll make note of what I have for some insight on his taste.
For what it’s worth, his current favorites are [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. He also thinks [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is a nice name.
[name_m]Luke[/name_m] (clashes with our girl name, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] (he likes)
[name_m]Cooper[/name_m] (he has mixed feelings)
[name_u]Colby[/name_u] (he likes)
[name_u]Corbin[/name_u] (he didn’t hate)
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] (he likes)
[name_m]Wiley[/name_m] (he’s iffy about)
I guess what I’m asking for is suggestions of “normal but slightly less common” ideas. I’ve been through the top 1000, but I’m hoping there is something out there that works perfectly for us that I just haven’t seen yet.
