Boy named Acre

Alright berries!

We have a son named [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Crew[/name_m]. And the only boy name both hubby and I can find and love is Acre.

We love different, and we love word/nature names. We live in the prairies, and love our home and got inspired by the scenery around us.

What are you thoughts on the name?

While I like this in theory, and like the sound of Acre and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] together, all I can hear when I say it is “ache-r” (as in, one who aches).
I think if you both love it, that shouldn’t stop you. But I do feel as though teasing might be a slight problem with this one.

What about:
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] (closest I can think of)
[name_m]Arrow[/name_m]
[name_m]Cliff[/name_m]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_m]Birch[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_u]Grove[/name_u]
[name_m]Forest[/name_m]

Any of those?

I would keep looking. Acre is like naming your kid Inch or Mile.

I think it sounds silly. Like southern.maple said, it’s like naming your kid after any other measuring unit. What about [name_m]Aksel[/name_m] or [name_m]Ace[/name_m]?
