What boy names that are usually just for boys, that you think work good on girls?
I think:
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Carter[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]

[name]Rowan[/name]

I am considering [name]Sawyer[/name] for my baby girl, and also [name]Miller[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name]! I think surnames are pretty unisex, as are names with “soft” sounds like [name]Ezra[/name], [name]Noah[/name], etc. But names like [name]Joseph[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Brian[/name]? No.
I was thinking somewhat glibly that it seems almost any boy name seems to be usable for girls at the moment, but it got me thinking that this isn’t really true. A female [name]Rowan[/name] or [name]Carter[/name] or [name]Sawyer[/name] does seem more acceptable to me than e.g. a female [name]Malcolm[/name], [name]Frank[/name], [name]Eric[/name]. I don’t know, you can write a list as long as your arm of boy’s names that have been used for girls lately.
Didn’t some celeb name her daughter [name]Maxwell[/name] recently though ?
You should name her that! I would if I could but I went to school with a [name]Sawyer[/name] and he wasnt very nice haha
I think so! I think [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] did.
Her daughter is [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Drew[/name], which seems weird b/c she seems like she’d be into really girly stuff. I read something in a parenting magazine about how the nursery was very frilly, with a chandelier. I am kind of curious to see what she names this next one, especially if it’s another girl. While I feel like [name]Maxwell[/name] is going too far, if a little sister then had a feminine name, it would seem very awkward next to this boy and unisex combo.
I didn’t realize [name]Drew[/name] was the middle name. So it’s really two boy names, not even that unisex. Girl or boy next, it will be interesting to see where she goes with this.
The only guy names that I like on girls are [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Emerson[/name] and [name]Blair[/name].
