Boy or Girl? Need help naming either!!!

So, we’re not sharing names with our family so I’m hoping to get some help from you all! Our last name is [name]Holmes[/name] and here are the only names we haven’t completely disagreed on yet!

If it’s a boy:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] ([name]Pacey[/name])
[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (or [name]Rhys[/name])
[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Kai[/name] ([name]Cully[/name])
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]

For a girl:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (again nn [name]Pacey[/name])
[name]Teagan[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]
[name]Jacey[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]

Really not set on anything yet and just having trouble coming up with slightly different but not crazy names so feel free to make suggestions…can’t decide what sounds best with our last name either. This is our first so no sibs to consider. Okay, tell us what you think!

From you list I really like [name]Cullen[/name], [name]Kieran[/name], [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Kendall[/name]. I’m not crazy about the combos though.

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] – the ‘s’ run together.
[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (or [name]Rhys[/name]) – [name]Rhys[/name] adds a handsome Celtic vibe.
[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Kai[/name] ([name]Cully[/name]) – A bit too alliterate
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Wylie[/name] – [name]Wylie[/name] turns Celtic [name]Kieran[/name] trendy. Plus [name]Wylie[/name] and [name]Kieran[/name] (Kieryn) can be trendy girls names so I think a definately masculine name is needed.

[name]Teagan[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Reese[/name] – okay for flow but a tad mismatched
[name]Kendall[/name] [name]Wylie[/name] – A bit rhymey.
[name]Jacey[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Scott[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]

I would say [name]Payson[/name] is a boys name. Partly because it ends with -son, so obvious masculine kick there. The problem with using [name]Payson[/name] on a girl is what if you have a boy after and name him [name]Cullen[/name] or [name]Kieran[/name]. I think if people heard ‘[name]Payson[/name] and [name]Cullen[/name]’ or ‘[name]Payson[/name] and [name]Kieran[/name]’ they would assume they were both boys (or both gender-bending girls names) and that might cause problems.

out of your list i like:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] ([name]Pacey[/name]
[name]Jacey[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]

Here are some other names:
[name]Payton[/name] m/f

I like that ur names are different! gd choices gd luck!

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] ([name]Pacey[/name]): Like [name]Elea[/name] said, it’s hard for me to say due to the s sounds in both names. Also, your last names is [name]Holmes[/name], and [name]Pacey[/name] was a character on [name]Katie[/name] [name]Holmes[/name]’ show, [name]Dawson[/name]'s Creek. (I have no idea why I know this, as I never watched the show!) Anyway, I thought I’d mention the association!

Some more ideas in line with what you’ve mentioned:

Good luck!

If it’s a boy:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] ([name]Pacey[/name]): Ok
[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (or [name]Rhys[/name]): OK
[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Kai[/name] ([name]Cully[/name]): I like [name]Cullen[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t love it with [name]Kai[/name].
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]: Not my style

For a girl:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (again nn [name]Pacey[/name]): [name]Don[/name]'t care for [name]Payson[/name] for a girl.
[name]Teagan[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]: Not my style
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Reese[/name]: Cute
[name]Kendall[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]: Cute
[name]Jacey[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]: Not my style.

Good luck!

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Scott[/name] ([name]Pacey[/name])- Not a fan of [name]Payson[/name]. Seems awkward to me… [name]Scott[/name] is alright as a mn.
[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (or [name]Rhys[/name])- I really like [name]Reese[/name]/[name]Rhys[/name], It’s cute but still manly.
[name]Cullen[/name] [name]Kai[/name] ([name]Cully[/name])- All I can think of is [name]Edward[/name] [name]Cullen[/name], teen girls fantasy and I think you will run into this alot. I really like [name]Kai[/name] in the middle.
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]- I don’t mind [name]Kieran[/name] but dislike [name]Wylie[/name].

For a girl:

[name]Payson[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (again nn [name]Pacey[/name])
[name]Teagan[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]- not my style…
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Reese[/name]- I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name] [name]Wylie[/name]- Not my style.
[name]Jacey[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]- [name]Jacey[/name] is ok but I like [name]Lyla[/name]. Prefer it spelled [name]Lila[/name].

My favorite combo’s are
[name]Reese[/name]/[name]Rhys[/name] ____
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Lyla[/name]- this is so gorgeous!!
