Bria?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering your thoughts on a new favourite of mine, [name_f]Bria[/name_f]. I am surprised I like it so much because it is a bit at odds with the names I usually like. But I would characterize the name as short, sweet, and unexpected.

The spelling is a little iffy for me - I say it as [name_f]Bree[/name_f]-uh. I heard of this name through someone named [name_f]Brea[/name_f] (pronounced the same). But I find all I see is [name_f]Bree[/name_f] when I see [name_f]Brea[/name_f]. I then met a little girl through my work who is a [name_f]Bria[/name_f], which I find more intuitive.

What do you think?

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Bria[/name_f], though when I was about 13 I thought I was being very clever using it as a name - I went on a summer camp called Briyah (pronouned bree-YAH not [name_f]Bree[/name_f]-ah) and thought it would make a great name, it also has a meaning that is roughly ‘Creation’ in Hebrew which I love.
I definitely prefer the [name_f]Bria[/name_f] spelling. It’s one of the few ‘B’ names I truly adore.

As you can tell from my sig, I adore [name_f]Bria[/name_f]!! Pronunciation could be a potential issue, but I love this name. I also like [name_f]Britta[/name_f], [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], [name_f]Briella[/name_f]… but I think [name_f]Bria[/name_f] takes the cake. It is a fresh spin on [name_f]Leah[/name_f], and it is just so sweet, spunky, and an overall appealing name to me. Gush, gush, gush…

[name_f]Bria[/name_f] is super sweet, and I think most people would pronounce it how you want. It sounds very fresh and modern to me

I like it. Short n sweet

[name_f]Bria[/name_f] is a lovely name!

I like it! And I agree [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is the most intuitive spelling.

I know a [name_f]Briana[/name_f] who goes almost exclusively by [name_f]Bria[/name_f], pronounced [name_f]Bree[/name_f]-ah). I prefer [name_f]Bria[/name_f] as a standalone.
