I accidentally spelled the name [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] wrong!

I haven’t watched the show (yet) so this is solely based on me liking the names but my favourites are [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_m]Simon[/name_m] & [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. I also like [name_m]Friedrich[/name_m] in [name_m]German[/name_m] but prefer [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Fredrick[/name_m] or [name_m]Fredrik[/name_m] if pronounced with a -k ending.

I don’t think I would ever name my children in alphabetical order, just because it would really limit me in my choices.

Anthony and [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] are lovely together in a sibset! (I prefer [name_f]Hyacintha[/name_f], but I still enjoy [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u].)

I wouldn’t do the alphabetical order thing because we decided before we got married that we only wanted one or two kids, so it’s not a theme people would pick up on anyway. Plus, that eliminates so many options from the back half of the alphabet!

I like the name [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], and from what I’ve heard about the character, it might make me like the name even more. That actor’s name is [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], which is one of my top 3, so I prefer that. I’ve loved [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] for a long time. I’m wondering how much of a popularity boost it’ll get from this show. [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] is intriguing but might remain just a guilty pleasure name for me.

I loved all the names in Bridgerton! I probably wouldn’t do it personally, but I thought the alphabetical sibset tradition was very cute.

I never thought it would be something I like, but since watching that show I’ve had a big name crush on [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u]. Normally, I’d say [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]

No because I wouldn’t want to be restricted or have to wait until child number 20 to use my favourite name…

Generally speaking, I lived the show but I didn’t like the names… they felt a little too unusual for the regency period for me as a whole, some are OK but most just felt a bit wrong. I found myself trying to think of more likely names, for example you would be highly unlikely to have a [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] in that time, but [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] or [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] would have been a better choice. Similarly, [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] could have been [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] would have more likely been [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Fanny[/name_f] for short. I also really cannot stand the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]… The only one I like is [name_f]Eloise[/name_f].
