Brothers
[name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_u]William[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
For Lane’s siblings I wanted to keep the first names short and sweet but with some strength behind them and balance them out with classic middles. For the first option I went with [name_u]Miles[/name_u], a favourite of mine, it has conflicting meanings from various cultures, but it’s sweet and charming and has a lot of great namesakes in the media like [name_u]Miles[/name_u] Morales, which a little boy would love. For Miles’ middle I went for [name_u]William[/name_u], like [name_u]Charles[/name_u] it has a long history of Princes and Kings and Authors and Scientists that really speak for it. For the second option I wanted to lean a little bit more into [name_u]Lane[/name_u] as a word name, though I’m not sure if that was a draw for you, I went with [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. It’s been growing in popularity for both girls and boys and is both a word name - the rowan tree is also known as the mountain ash - but the anglicisation of an [name_u]Irish[/name_u] name RuadhĆ”n meaning ā€˜little red one’. For Rowan’s middle I went with [name_u]James[/name_u], which is the classic in my mind.

Sisters
[name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
I had a bit of a hard time picturing what Lane’s sister would be called so I went in two different directions - a lighter more feminine option and spunkier word name option. For the first option I thought [name_f]Faye[/name_f] would be perfect, it’s word name adjacent with it’s connection to The [name_f]Fay[/name_f] of Fairies, but the -e ending I think really solidifies it to stand next to [name_u]Lane[/name_u]. It’s also the same crisp, one syllable. I wanted to stick with the classics for the girls’ middles but [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] just wasn’t sitting with me so I went with a derivative, the [name_u]French[/name_u] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], not quite as classic in the [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking world but close. For the second, spunkier option I went with [name_u]Haven[/name_u], a favourite word name of mine that brings to mind a safe place or even a safe person who you can trust. I wanted to pair the more gender-neutral first with a more feminine middle so I went with the [name_f]Princess[/name_f] classic [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
