So my latest find for #2 is “[name]Brigitta[/name]”. DH loved [name]Brigitte[/name] but I couldn’t handle the [name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Bardot[/name] association or the sound of the zheet with our last name that starts with the “ch” sound. So I was thinking about [name]Brigitta[/name] the other day, and thought it might be a nice compromise. What do you think of the name? Our daughter’s name is [name]Juliette[/name]. I kind of like how they both have the double “t” in them, but they don’t rhyme.
I like it … although it is a whole lotta name. I have a friend [name]Brigitta[/name], but she goes by Briggie. Does go well with [name]Juliette[/name].
Thanks for all the responses so far. [name]Juliette[/name]'s middle name is [name]Noelle[/name]. That was a name I loved forever and it just flowed really well with [name]Juliette[/name]. [name]Even[/name] though her name sounds pretty French, we’re not French. We don’t mind the mixed ethnicity sounding names because we are a mixed ethnicity family. That’s never been a big factor for us in choosing names – it’s more about the sound of the name and whether we both like it.
I love [name]Brigitta[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name]! [name]Brigitta[/name] reminds me of the Sound of [name]Music[/name], which is a plus for me. I say go for it.
I think [name]Brigitta[/name] is a gorgeous name and goes great with [name]Juliette[/name]. What about [name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Alouette[/name](maybe to many t’s haha), [name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Primrose[/name] (this stuck in my head when I first saw it), or [name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Chanel[/name].
Our daughter is [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Noelle[/name].
I like [name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Jane[/name], but do the names sound too different from one another? I also don’t thinK DH will go for it. He’s not a fan of plain simple names.
[name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] is really pretty too. Too much of a mouthful?
Any other middle name suggestions? I think it’s hard to pair [name]Brigitta[/name] because it’s kind of a clunky name.
What kind of names does your hubby like? Might help me think of some ideas!
And now I don’t think [name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]'s too much of a mouthful, [name]Catherine[/name]'s only 2 syllables and is a nice soft compliment to [name]Brigitta[/name] in my opinion.
Thanks so much everyone – he just vetoed [name]Brigitta[/name]. We are never going to agree on a girl’s name. I think I need to start praying for a boy!
(His latest favorite, by the way, is Arewen or something – I don’t think he even knows how to spell it. All I can hear is the [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings character – and he’s not even a [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings fan!)
[name]Arwen[/name] - would do you think of [name]Anwen[/name]? It’s Welsh and means very pretty. Only one letter different to [name]Arwen[/name] so hubby might like it and you get the nn’s [name]Anne[/name], [name]Anna[/name] or [name]Annie[/name]!
Pronounced like [name]Anne[/name]-wen. One of my baby sister’s best friends is called [name]Anwen[/name] and it’s so pretty on her.
Thanks for the suggestion ljandrl! Unfortunately, I was dating a guy named [name]Anwar[/name] when I met DH so I know anything similar to that name would never fly. :?
I got him this app for baby names and it has TERRIBLE names on it! When is Nameberry going to come out with an app??? We need a good one!
