[name_f]Briony[/name_f] or [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]?
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name!!! Definitely 100% [name_f]Briony[/name_f]. [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] is too much y.
Hmm I like both but I think I’d prefer the original spelling - [name_f]Bryony[/name_f].
I prefer the [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] spelling.
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]. I know someone who thought this name was pronounced bree-uh-nee. I appreciate that [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] clarifies the pronunciation.
Also, I think I encountered the [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] spelling before the [name_f]Briony[/name_f] spelling, so that probably contributes to why I prefer it.
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]! the y version is too many y’s for me
Though [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] is the original spelling, I prefer [name_f]Briony[/name_f]. It just seems correct and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] seems like a yooneek spelling.
I love [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]! [name_f]Briony[/name_f] looks like it should be pronounced [name_f]Bree[/name_f]-oh-nee to me.
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]. The pronunciation still feels intuitive to me because it looks so much like [name_m]Brian[/name_m]. [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] is too many Y’s!
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] for sure!
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]-I prefer original spellings.
[name_f]Briony[/name_f], although I don’t really have a marked preference.
I personally prefer the name [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]. It’s such a lovely name! I think that [name_f]Briony[/name_f] looks kind of tacky, put that’s just my opinion.
[name_f]Briony[/name_f], HANDS DOWN
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] = [name_m]WAY[/name_m] TOO MUCH Y
even it is the ‘real spelling’ other idiot people adding Y’s into everything has made [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] feel trendy (in a bad way) instead of the Latin plant name that it is
I prefer [name_f]Bryony[/name_f], as it’s the traditional spelling. [name_f]Briony[/name_f] is too strongly associated with the little girl from Atonement who ruined her sisters life. But for some reason [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] doesn’t carry that association!
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]. It was character in one of [name_m]Tad[/name_m] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] books, so I first encounter with that spelling.
I pronounce [name_f]Briony[/name_f] bree-oh-nee and really don’t care if “correct” pronunciation is Breye- un-nee. It’s rare name, it’s different spelling, so it could be easily pronounced wrong. As far as I know, English-born speakers pronounce half of foreign names wrong, so what’s big deal about wrong pronunciation of rare name?
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] - It’s my cousin’s name, so maybe I am biased. I agree [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] somehow now feels tacky, like its spelt incorrectly (even though its the original. Personally I don’t think the association has ruined it, its not a film or book that everyone has seen, plus as everyone said its such a rare name. I pronounce it [name_f]Bri[/name_f]-uh-NEE. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice though!
I prefer [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]. Whenever we’re talking a floral name, I prefer the way the plant is actually spelt. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] over [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] or [name_f]Lillie[/name_f], [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] over [name_f]Briony[/name_f].
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] by far . [name_f]Briony[/name_f] seems made up to me .
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f], definitely! I love this name
