Am I missing something obvious, because the only name I can think of that could have [name_m]Brody[/name_m] as a nickname is [name_m]Broderick[/name_m]. Any others?

I think [name_m]Broderick[/name_m] is strong, defined, and handsome as well.

I can think of [name_m]Brod[/name_m], [name_m]Broder[/name_m] or maybe [name_m]Brodric[/name_m]/Bodrick instead of [name_m]Broderick[/name_m].
