Which do you prefer? Brother is [name_m]John[/name_m].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] might be a better fit for a sibling-set with [name_m]John[/name_m]…but I must say that [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] is one of those names that I just adore. I’ve met a [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] once and she was a tall, beautiful blonde so that’s what I picture when I hear the name. It seems like such a strong name to me–like it belongs to a girl/woman who knows who she is and what she wants out of life. I would imagine that [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] is the type of person who always looks like she has it all together.
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] definitely.
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] feels a bit dated to me as I have taught many over the years. Also [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] and [name_m]John[/name_m] rhyme a bit whereas [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] sounds like a classic combo.
I agree with penelopeann that [name_u]Vivian[/name_u](or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]) seems to go better with [name_m]John[/name_m]. [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] wouldn’t exactly be mismatched with [name_m]John[/name_m] though. It’s pretty common for parents to have different naming styles for boys and girls. I think I prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] as a sister to [name_m]John[/name_m], but their both such nice names that you can’t really go wrong either way.
Personally? I like [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]. But I think [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] goes better with [name_m]John[/name_m].
I prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] with a brother named [name_m]John[/name_m]. It fits the classic [name_m]John[/name_m] much better than [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] is okay, I have nothing against the name but I love [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I think both go well with [name_m]John[/name_m].
I much prefer [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] (actually my DS was going to be [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]).
BUT [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Bron[/name_m] rhyme too much for my liking.
I think in those future tired cranky parenting days you might accidently say “Johnwen”.
I think both go with [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] might go better, but I just love [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f].
Another vote for [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] (although I personally prefer [name_f]Branwen[/name_f])
defiantly [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]. but what about [name_f]Briallen[/name_f]?
I much prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]! I don’t understand the berry love for [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f], [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Anwen[/name_f].
I like both names but there are issues with both of them. [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Bron[/name_m] are too matchy. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_m]John[/name_m] both end in “n”. I will choose the name with the issue that bothers me the least: [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
I defiantly prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is classic and gorgeous, goes perfectly with [name_m]John[/name_m], and has very cute nickname options. While, [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] isn’t classic and sort of rhymes with [name_m]John[/name_m].
I would go with [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] since [name_m]Bron[/name_m]- and [name_m]John[/name_m] rhyme. I like both though.
