What do you think… Has [name_u]Brook[/name_u] gone to the girls, or is there still some masculinity left in he name?
For me, [name_u]Brook[/name_u] could work on a boy but I would think of a girl if I read the name. The [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] spelling is girly to me. [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] though is 100% boy for me and I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] it. It’s one of my favorite boy names but I can’t use it because we already have a little 2 year old [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] in the family.
I love [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] for a boy. [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is on my long list. I personally do not care for [name_u]Brook[/name_u]/[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] for either gender. I have known a few girls named [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], never met a male [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]. The few I knew were all rather wishy washy, that could be why I do not care for the name.
I think of [name_u]Brook[/name_u]/[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] as a girls name but I love [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] for a boy. The ‘s’ makes all the difference.
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m] feels really masculine to me. [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is all girl, and [name_u]Brook[/name_u] is somewhere in between. I could see this spelling on either gender.
Now that [name_u]Brook[/name_u]/[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] feels dated for a girl, I think now is the perfect time to claim the rugged [name_u]Brook[/name_u] for a boy. I also really like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]. They both have a very western/cowboy feel on a boy.
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is very dated which is why [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] has be able to rise for boys. I know a little [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] and his peers often just call him [name_u]Brook[/name_u]
I prefer [name_u]Brook[/name_u] but [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is nice too. [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is more manly cowboy while [name_u]Brook[/name_u] is naturey and laid-back, like a calming brook
Although I think [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is all girl, along with the variation [name_u]Brook[/name_u]… I absolutely adore the more masculine sounding [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]. It’s on my shortlist!!
I feel [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] are [name_u]Brook[/name_u] are feminine, while [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is masculine.
I agree that [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is all boy and a handsome choice.
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is feminine for me and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is masculine. [name_u]Brook[/name_u] seems more like a nature name to me so I think it can go both, but I would probably guess girl first.
Like others, I think [name_u]Brook[/name_u]/[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] are feminine, [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is masculine.
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is feminine, [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] is masculine, [name_u]Brook[/name_u] could go either way though I’m slightly more inclined to think feminine at first.
