First time poster here…expecting a baby boy in 7 weeks. Our favorite boy name since our first was [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but now we are starting to question it as its popularity as a girls name is hugely disappointing!!! All of our other favorites from our first are now top 5 names ([name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m]…).
So, unless you think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is still masculine enough (contemplating a longer name like [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m], but husband isn’t on board so far), any awesome ideas for a baby brother for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (5) and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] (4)? Middle name with either be [name_m]Harold[/name_m] or [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] depending on how it sounds with the first name.
Some on our like list (but not feeling [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], if you know what I mean)…I feel like I have read through thousands of names and just am stuck.
Have you thought of shortening [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] to just [name_u]Max[/name_u]? I think [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Martin[/name_m] sounds really strong and important, i dunno, it just goes!
I dont mind the name [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] as well but i dont think it goes so well with your surname. Im not so sold on [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] or [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m] for a boy, it just sounds a little feminine to me, but its also a name i dont really hear a lot of here in Australia so perhaps its popularity as a boys name is greater where you live?
Out of the list youve got there, [name_u]Max[/name_u] (sorry, ive decided it must be shortened!) and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] are my two picks as they both go well with [name_m]Martin[/name_m].
Your daughters have beautiful names! [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought when reading your post were [name_m]Adam[/name_m] or [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]. They begin with A, and are both classics like your girls’ names. I like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] from your list.
[name_f]My[/name_f] faves from your list are [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] and [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Hiram[/name_m], and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] go nicely with the girls’ names (I know some of those names might not go well with the last name, but I’ve used name endings that rhyme with our last name and that are the same as the beginning of our last name, so I don’t worry about that as much).
I’ll also toss out [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] to you; I don’t know if you would like that as much or if you want to have another A name, but it popped into my head when I looked at your girls’ names.
We are definitely done after this one, so no worries about “A” names. In fact, we lost our first daughter [name_f]Anna[/name_f] @ 32 weeks, so we technically, though not intentionally, have all A names. If we were going to have another girl, then we probably would have stuck with the A-names, but seeing this one is his own little unique self, we don’t feel the need. So, it sounds like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], and [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] were the favs…and I’ll add [name_m]Henry[/name_m] to the list (although it is pretty common around us). Thanks.
