Our boy is named [name]Enzo[/name]. There’s another baby on the way and again we’re finding it tough to agree on a boys name. I think it needs to be similarly uncommon, yet simple, easy to say and spell, and recognisable as a name even if its not one you hear often.
So far I really like [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Frank[/name] (nn [name]Frankie[/name] while little). Most of my favourite boys names end in o ([name]Milo[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Hugo[/name]) but I think another o-ending name will be too similar. I don’t really like the surnames-as-first names trend.
I think two o endings are too much unfortunately I will be in the same boat love o names but my girl ends in o too
I love [name]Frank[/name] & [name]Oscar[/name]!
I don’t mind [name]Enzo[/name] with [name]Oscar[/name] or [name]Frank[/name] but maybe something with a more exotic vibe or European flair would be best.
I don’t mind [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Milo[/name] together - especially since they share only the ‘o’ ending. From your list, I like [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name].
[name]Raphael[/name], [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Blaise[/name], [name]Stellan[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Louis[/name], [name]Atlas[/name].
I like shelfieswithherownwings’s suggestions of [name]Roman[/name], Cassisus, [name]Sebastian[/name] & [name]Caspar[/name]. Especially [name]Caspar[/name]! Same goes for blade’s suggestions of [name]Ari[/name], [name]Pax[/name], [name]Remy[/name] & [name]West[/name].
However from [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Frank[/name], I’d choose [name]Oscar[/name]. Overall [name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Louis[/name], [name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Casper[/name] are my favourite sibsets
I think [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name] are okay, but don’t get the same sort of vibe from [name]Oscar[/name]. [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Frankie[/name] is cute, but not a giant fan of just plain [name]Frank[/name]. I’m not sure if [name]Francis[/name] would be better - I love [name]Francisco[/name] but would definitely be too much name and an O to boot.
I like suggestions of [name]Ari[/name] and especially [name]Luca[/name]. [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] is pretty rad!
Anyway, a few randoms:
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Arch[/name] (nn [name]Archie[/name]?) - [name]Enzo[/name] was originally a short form, right?
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Crispin[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Asa[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Abel[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Omar[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Abner[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Calder[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Cecil[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Iver[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Grover[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Victor[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] & [name]Verdi[/name] - yeah it’s a word name, but I kinda like it!
I think you should use another name ending in an ‘o’ which will give the brothers a great Italian flavour.
For example
If you like [name]Frank[/name] go for [name]Franco[/name] which sounds about a million times better imo
or
[name]Marco[/name] is such a handsome name and it always sounds modern and cool
or
[name]Nico[/name]
or for a change of pace
[name]Andreas[/name] which I think is a cool choice
or
[name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Raphael[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Rio[/name]
[name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Rocco[/name]
While I like [name]Frank[/name], I think [name]Oscar[/name] works better with [name]Enzo[/name]. I like the suggestions of [name]Caspar[/name] and [name]Andreas[/name] too. Other possibilities are
I like [name]Enzo[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] - both Italian and fresh sounding. [name]Jude[/name] would also be good. I like the idea of connecting them with 4 letter names.
Thanks so much for the feedback. It’s fascinating to hear the different connotations the name [name]Enzo[/name] gives to different people! I don’t think of it as a ‘slick’ name at all, for example, but I can see how you might come to that viewpoint if you assume he was named after the car designer (he wasn’t! [name]Enzo[/name] is a character in a movie my husband loves, The Big [name]Blue[/name]). I loved the name for its strong yet creative vibe, and I get the same feeling from both [name]Frank[/name] ([name]Lloyd[/name] [name]Wright[/name], [name]Gehry[/name], [name]Oz[/name]!) and [name]Oscar[/name].
Of the suggestions so far, I like [name]Micah[/name], [name]Luca[/name] (unfortunately neither really go with our surname), [name]Joe[/name], [name]Jonah[/name], [name]Louis[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]. I prefer [name]Jasper[/name] to [name]Caspar[/name] but I think they’ve got the same sort of feeling. I’m trying to avoid another Italian sounding name, since we’re not at all Italian and I think giving both kids Italian sounding names would be overkill! Now to see if my husband, who has far more out-there taste than me, likes any of these…
I like [name]Lyon[/name], [name]Mies[/name] (modern design bona fides), [name]Wright[/name] (i.e. [name]Frank[/name] [name]Lloyd[/name]), and [name]Eames[/name].
